My forehead creased because of the cluttering sound. Na parang may nag-uumpugang metal. Then I realized, I'm in a place I don't recognized.
Napaikot ako ng marinig ko ang tunog sa bandang likod ko, para lang maipako ako sa kinatatayuan ko.
There is someone behind me! A black cloaked man with two daggers floating in his hand, where the cluttering sound is coming from. Like two clashing swords.
"Who are you?" lakas loob kong tanong.
The daggers stopped from moving and just suspended in the air just above his open hand. Hindi siya nagsalita, nagsalubong ang kilay ko para aninagin kung sino ang nasa harap ko. Pero wala akong ibang makita maliban sa bibig niya, that 5 o'clock shadow in his angled jaw, pababa sa leeg niya, at sa balikat niya kung saan parang may nakasampay na pulang laso at sa palad niyang nakabukas.
"You're going to see her today."
Goosebumps! His voice sounds like it's coming underground. Malamig, buo pero sobrang lalim. I felt my throat dried and I shivered a bit.
Who is this man?
"S-See w-who?" may nginig sa boses na tanong ko.
The corner of his lips quirked up. A gust of wind formed in his open hand, and in just a blink of an eye, the daggers were molded together and it formed into a palm sized diamond.
