(Y/n)'s POV

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. I'm beginning to believe you don't even want to do this."

"No! I do!"

"Then yes I'll see you later tonight for our actual proper date," I said, waving a soft goodbye to Dan as I headed to meet with Sophie for tea.

Clinking heels and swinging arms, I strolled down the street, enjoying the fresh air for once. As fresh as it could get in the city.

Dan had invited me as his date to a casino night. After a long...long talk about things. We decided it would be best if we took baby steps. Both parties were still terribly guilty of the past, taking deep breaths along the way.

Despite the unbelievable kiss, still lingering on my lips, we decided too that we wouldn't jump into things. As far as we were concerned, it never happened, and that it was best to go forward as honest. Our first date would be tonight, and currently we were only confused friends, bumbling about within the dark, looming cavern of love while we unknowingly let it swallow us.

It was okay for now.

I picked up the pace as the wind beat me to it, brushing over my legs and making me shiver. I walked into the lobby of the wonderful tea place, spotting Sophie. I gave her a wave and she smiled back at me, service quickly seating us.

"So, what's new?" She asked.

"Well, lots of things, but I'm guessing that's now what you're hinting at."

"You know."

"Yes, of course. Earlier this morning, Dan and I may have shared a kiss," I admitted and she looked at me shocked, not expecting such news.

"You did? What was it like?"

"Well, it was quite confusing, him catching my wrist on the way to my room and it just...happened. We had a chat, and decided that he'd take me as a date tonight, but as of right now, we're not...anything."

"You both made this decision?"

"Yes."

"I see, interesting, I believe you'll work things out. You two really fit together."

"We do?"

"I can tell you that neither I nor PJ have ever seen Dan as happy with a woman than he is with you." I felt my face warm and I smiled into my cup.

"What's new with you?" I changed the subject and she let out a breath.

"Well, I've been to the doctor recently," she said.

"Oh?"

"Yes, and I'm pregnant." I paused, placing my cup down with wide eyes.

"Pregnant?" I asked with a baffled smile. She nodded, her eyes glossy. "SOPH THAT'S AMAZING!" I said, getting up quickly, not caring about re commotion I may be causing. I took her up in a hug.

"Thanks," she let out a breathy laugh.

"Did you tell Peej?" I asked and she shook her head no. "Why?"

"I'm—terribly frightened to put it simply."

"Oh Sophie, we both know PJ will love the baby, and this will be so fun. I'll babysit whenever you need it!"

"Thank you (y/n), I don't know what I'd do without you," Sophie said.

"Please ring and tell me how it goes!"

"Of course, shall we finish before they kick us out?"

"Good idea," I said with a laugh.

Ik this is terribly short, but today is PhyerJynx birthday today and I wanted to spend the day with him!!
