Dylan's View
"C'mon idiots! Focus!"
Coach Tyson shouted, getting pissed of our performance to the practice. Most of the team is slacking of, mostly because me.
"Seriously Castle? You're not the star player for nothing! Double time!"
He said to me with angry eyes, growling at me when I ran by him. I flinch, realising his right remembering that I have been out of focus this past few days. Plus, this annoying bitches at the deck keeps on screeching it hurts my ears.
"Don't listen to that old man Dylan! You're still our star player! Whooo!"
Is it me? Or they really sound like dying pigs up there?.
I glare at them but they just scream even more. I cover my ears and I get off the court, walking towards the bench to sit.
I can't play if without being focus.
"Aight, thats it! The pussy went off, time out team!"
Coach whistles, signaling everyone and everyone gather up together to drink water and rest. We huddle up once we're rested, talk about our stats as a team and everything else related to the tournament. When we finished, Coach Tyson gestured to me, making me follow him to his office, and I nod agreeing to it.
"Dude, this is the first time you've ever get inside Coach's office in this case. Usually he ask you in for compliments. You good?"
Alec ask, getting his gym bag from the ground and I sigh nodding as I answer.
"Yeah, I prefer it than nothing."
"Well, see you at home, good luck."
He dap me and the guys leave me to go their last period. As of me, I'm done after this, so I go to Coach's room and his already waiting for me, leaning on front of his table crossing his arm with his eyebrows knitted together. I gave him a guilty look and he goes around the table to seat on his chair and I do the same when I seat on the ones in his front.
"Ok, let's get straight to it, Castle. What is happening with you?" He pause sighing, "You've been acting off this fast few days, and that's not helping the team. You're suppose to be the one lifting us up, you're the star player. So could you please explain to me, What is going on, kid?"
I purse my lips, licking it inside then I look away as I give my honest answer.
"I don't know, Coach."
I said and he gave me a mere look. As if his trying to read my mind. He closes his eyes, then run a hand through his face, slamming his hands on the table.
"Is this a guessing game? Fine, let me guess, is it because of all the bitches? You can't have one no more?"
"Coach that's not the problem here-"
"Or is it that one girl who comes to see you in the locker room the other time?"
I narrow my eyes as I met Coach's, recalling what he just said. Then finally realizing what his talking about, I bow my head lower not doing anything. I heard him let out a huge sigh, closing my eyes as I feel guilty even more.
"Look kid, I know what's happening and I understand if you like Ms. Hale. I've been in that position, and believe me, when I tell you that its a bit unhealty."
I look up to him.
"But Dylan, I need you to focus on this years play offs. I'm not saying this to threathen you, I just wanna remind you that this year is going to be important. Find it shellfish, but I want the pride of this school maintained, and I need your help with that."
He pause, gathering air before speaking again.
"You know how helpful you are to us when your focused. You can even shoot 7 consecutive 3 pointers in just a quarter. That's how useful you are."
I nod, agreeing. He flatly smile at me and continue.
"Now I know there might be something going on in your mind right now, and here's what to want you to do. Call her, and fix it already. You're not going to lose something if you will. Besides, doing it will provide you something you don't expect."
"What is, Coach?"
He smirk, leaning closer to me."
"Courage, you fool."
I got clueless but he just gave me a smile and a look I've never seen before. He sighs, and lean in to his chair, letting go of the smile he just wear turning it to a straight face.
"Now get out of here, Castle. And do as I said. Don't be a pussy no more!"
I nod as an answer and he nod back to me.
A knock on the door break the silence and I my just fell when I saw who is by the door.
"Ah, yes Ms. Hale?"
Coach Tyson ask, looking at me as he stand up. She softly smile, revealing the papers behind her back entering the room.
"Mrs. O Fallon wants you to sign this papers. It's regarding the all sports event happening next week."
"Ah yes, come give it here."
She nod, giving the paper for him to sign. Once finished, Coach give him a flat smile while she reply with the sweet ones.
"Thanks, I should go now."
"Alright, thank you Ms. Hale."
She smiled once again, totally ignoring my presence leaving the room with silence. We listen to her footsteps going down the hall until its fully gone. Then Coach gave me a look, and I do the same.
I sigh, as I walk down the halls, thinking of what Coach have advice me. I was in the middle of daydreaming, when someone pulls me inside an empty room slamming my body behind the door. I look down to the person, and I saw the pair of my favorite eyes and smelled my favorite scent coming from her.
She gave me a annoyed look, gripping me in to the neck of the shirt. She slapped me, which surprise me so I gave her a clueless look and she shake her head slapping me once more.
"What the hell?"
"You're such a pussy! Why do I have to this just to make you talk to me?!"
I knitted my eyebrows getting even more clueless and she shake her head hissing. She bites her lips, looking up mine and my mind went off when she connected our lips together.
