"How about this one?"

Clarity ask as she shows me a maroon colored suit and I tried imagining Alec on them. I narrow my eyes and I shake my head an answer. She sighs and sat besides me.

"Dang, shopping for boys is hard."

I nod agreeing to her statement.

If you're wondering what we're doing right now, we're shopping for gifts. Clarity ask me to accompany her find gift for Alec since its his birthday tomorrow.

"What should I give him?"

"I don't know."  I shrug. "Probably a gift that'll make him very happy. Something that he will remember for the rest of his life."

I suggest and she gasp, starts turning red so she cover her face with her hands. Now she totally look like a tomato which made me frown in confusion.

"Oh my god, Charlie! I didn't know you're that type of girl!"

"What are you talking about?"

She looks at me, holding me hands afterwards.

"Well, if giving that will make him happy then, I'm glad to have him as my first time."

My eyes widens when her statement gave it away. I vigorously shake my head so as my hands.

I didn't mean it that way. This is totally embarrassing.

"Oh, Clarity, no, no, no, I'm not talking about giving it to him, that totally came out wrong."

"You don't?"

"Yeah, I mean when I said something memorable, I'm not talking about your virginity. I mean something he really likes. Think of something he likes the most."

"Well, umm, i guess there is something else..."

She sits besides me as she thinks, rubbing her chin. She smiles again and her eyes twinkles, I assume for thinking of an idea for her boyfriend's gift.

"I have a great idea! Come with me!"

She said hooking up the suit back to where she took it then drag me out of the place. To my surprise and confusion, she brought us to a grocery inside the mall. She started walking inside and I follow along when she took a cart and search through ailse.

"Um, Clarity? Why are we here?"

"Because I'm going to cook Alec his birthday cake. Have I mentioned that I use to bake?"

I shake my head as an answer. I mean, we've only known eacg other not that long.

"So, your baking him a cake? That's wonderful."

"Yeah, I mean, I've never told you this but Alec always craved my pastries, but I never let him have one. Even a bite."

"Wait, why?"

"Well, you know him, his like a clown, so I always thought he'd laugh at them when he them. Now that I'm finally giving him a chance to not totally make fun of my cake, I just wish he'll likes this surprise."

She sighs as she finish talking and I held her hand, interrupting her on pushing the cart.

"He'll loved it, I mean that should be nice, and definitely memorable, isn't it?"

"Hmm, yeah, I guess it is."

She chuckles and nods, I smiled to her back then soon after that little girl thingy we finally start gathering the indegredients.

Half an hour have pass and we're still here. We basically took our time to search for those things she'll be needing for tomorrows party and I gotta say, she is a pretty good party planner, by that I mean she's a perfectionist. I don't have a problem with it though. If it is my boyfriend having birthday I'd totally freak out of the planning. Can't blame her.

We separate when she needed help to find cheese, and I agreed to find one for her. After I got it, I then find my way back to her. When I'm finally back, I saw her talking to a woman, sort of our age talking to her. She's pretty and red headed, and she has freckles too which totally make her even more pretty. She's definitely Irish.

I was about to interrupt them but they pretty serious talking. I mean I can't hear anything from this distance and I can clearly see Clarity is frowning looking her straight in the eyes with a look I've never seen her do before.

Are they ok?

I thought and I let myself find the answer to the question by walking up to the both of them between their conversation.

"Hey, Clarity, I have here your red solo cups."

Clarity look at me a little surprise but she immediately smile and took the cups from me putting them inside the cart.

"Thanks, you're awesome."

"You're Welcome."

"Let's go?"

"Um," I look to the girl hesitantly, I don't wanna disrespect, then back to her "yeah...sure."

She shortly smiles then she starts to push the cart away.

"Clarity, aren't you going to introduce me to your friend right here?"

I look back as the girl called her out, then I look down to Clarity. She smiles to her then nod. The girl walks forward to us with the brightest smile, looking at me.

"Charlie, this is Amanda, Amanda, Charlie my good friend."

Clarity introduced us and I lend my hand as I'd like to shake her hand but I was caught in surprise when she suddenly pull me into a hug. It feels awkward fro me but I don't wanna make her feel stupid so I gently pat her back couple of times before she let me go.

"Its good to finally meet you, I've heard things about you!"

"Oh, really? Thanks. Nice to meet you, by the way."

She smiles at me and I sheepishly smiled back then I looked at Clarity who is looking straight to Amanda.

Clarity cleared her throat that interrupt Amanda from looking at me, which made me feel less uncomfortable.

"Yeah, um, Amy, its really nice to see you again but we gotta run. Have some things to do, so."

"What? Why so soon?"

"I know its a shame, but really, we're busy but we'll see you around."

Clarity said then grab my hand to walk away from us.

"Oh, ok, well then, take care!"

Amanda shouted since we're beggining to create a distance from her and Clarity just waved her hand without looking back.

"Who is that?"

I ask, still looking at Amanda's direction. Clarity shake her head.

"No one. Just an old friend of mine. Now c'mon, let's pay for this, m'kay?"

I nod my head and she push the cart on its way to the cashier.
