Shane's View
I step harder on the gas pedal as my heart pounds out of chest, terrified. Everything around me feels heavy, and there's certain aggression and frustration floathing around my head.
"Aw, shit!"
I cursed out loud as I see traffic building up in before me. I honk at the car in front of me countless times but obviously, nothing happened. Time pressured, I hit my steer wheel aggressively, as if its gonna do something magical to get me out of this place.
This is all my fault.
I thought as I remember Jon punching me on the face as he successfully convinced me to chase Heaven. I had to chase her. Its not only because I wanna tell her how I feel, also, I don't wanna let my brother's efforts go to waste.
I'm not gonna back out this time now.
"Hey!"
I heard someone say, hitting my car and I look outside the window seeing Dylan and Jon on a motorcycle.
"Need a ride?" Dylan shouted and I smile in greatfulness.
Jon jump down and immediately opens the door to the driver's seat, giving me his helmet. He gestured to me, so I rush to jump out. He gave me a pat on my back, and I replied with a nod. I get on Dylan's back, then he stormed out of the place.
"How'd you know about the traffic?"
"Charlie. She informed us. And you're brother isn't liking the idea of you being single as fuck."
I chuckle.
"That idiot."
He laughs. "I know. Alec and Charlie are on they're way too, and Jon would follow so."
I smile under my helmet and I give him a quick pat on his back.
"Thanks guys."
"Man, that's cheesy."
He joke and I shake my head.
"Shut up and drive, man."
He nod and add more speed to the engine. Once we finally got to the airport, I instantly look around, hoping I could see Heaven somewhere. But no signs of her.
"Heaven, where are you?"
I go to the desk, looking over the flight information on the screen. I scanned the thing, noticing her flight is already on boarding.
I hiss getting even more scared, bit ultimately running hoping that I could stop her. They are already having people on the plane. I look even close, looking through the line of people but I couldn't see her. I run through the lady who's boarding people, skiping the line not caring about what people will say.
"Ma'am! Ma'am, please, did you see a girl? She's beautiful. Blonde hair, green eyes, about 5'3 who boarded inside?"
I said aggressively needing a positive answer.
"I'm sorry sir, can you be more specific? Do you know what she's wearing?"
She frown totally confused and I hiss once more.
"I don't know! I just need to stop her!"
I yelled at her, being hysterical. She looked at me shocked, and now I'm gaining people's attention from making a scene. I let out a huge sigh, looking into the woman's eyes sincerely.
"Look, I'm sorry for being rude, but the girl I like is about to fly, possibly never coming back, so please, I'm begging you, did you see her?"
"Shane?"
I heard a familiar voice called my name, without even looking, I already know who it was, and how my heart felt like exploding.
I look at her, she's so beautiful. She looks rather surprised than confused, I smiled and speed walk towards her hugging her tight as soon as can hold her.
"I thought you already left, thank God you're here!"
"Yeah, I had to go to the restroom, but what the hell are you doing here?"
I smiled and I cupped her face.
"Please, don't leave. Stay."
"What?"
"I need you here, Heaven. I'm sorry for chicken-ing out and not tell you how I felt. I thought it was unfair not to tell you. Now I hope you stay so I could show you how much I want you. You're wonderful, and I can't stop myself form thinking of you, I thought I was just dreaming but, its true, I really like you, too much. So please? Don't go."
She blushes, then pursed her lips. Then start shaking her head and I grew confuse, getting a little terrified as I anticipate what she's about to say.
"I really appreciate it, Shane. And I know its obvious that I like you too. I would really love the idea of you and me going out. But I have to go."
My heart suddenly felt heavy, getting really dismayed by her answer. I let go of her, looking down feeling more horrible.
I heard her sigh, then she lift up my head finding her chuckling, so I frown finding nothing funny about the situation.
"Maybe we can go out next week?"
"Next week? But I thought you-"
"Yeah, I have a book convention to attend to, so I really need to go tonight since my parent ask my help organizing the event."
"But I thought you're not coming back? And how about the fact that you wanted to confess before you go?"
"Ah that? Well, I wanted to shoot my chance so I thought I could get my answer sooner before I leave, but my parents moved the flight so I didn't get the chance."
"What?"
"And oh, you're brother needs to do a better job at eavesdropping and getting all the correct details."
I open my mouth surprise and she just laugh on me.
"Well, this is bullshit!"
Someone shouted and both of us look at the voice's direction, finding Jon standing before us with Alec, Dylan and Charlie who's trying hard not to laugh at his reaction.
"All that work for this?! I even dyed my hair back just find out you're coming back next week?! What the hell!"
The guys on the back burst out to laughing, and so did we. It is indeed ridiculous.
"Thanks Jon."
Heaven greeted and Jon hisses, shaking his head out of irritation.
I pulled her closer then she looked at me straight into my eyes using her beautiful pair of emerald green eyes.
"So, it's a date then?"
She nods and smile dearly, and I did the same feeling extremely grateful of what this day end up.
"Man, shut up and kiss the girl."
Jon start teasing and I look bacinat Heaven, gesturing for her permission. She shrug smirking and I beam at her, leaning afterwards and we two shared our first kiss tenderly.
