The Children with the Color Names

Chapter 29- The Blue Stone

          Blue watches as Jami’s and Lucy’s mouths hang open, along with Ambers and Janelle just looking pretty angry.

          “What the hell,” Violet screeches. “You two…how could you! I told you about all this and you said you would help me, but you are teaming up with…her,” Violet yells sounding scared and frustrated.

          “Violet…I’m so sorry…” Jami starts.

          “Yes, I’m sorry too, it’s just that we were apparently destined to take over the world…” Lucy adds in. “It’s like, we had no choice.”

          “Oh shut up,” Violet says as tears run down her cheeks. Blue looks at her and bites her lip. Blue then turns back to the other two girls.

          “Violet…” Jami starts but is cut off by Blue.

          “You call yourself a good friend to Violet? You’re nothing but a bunch of skunk bags betraying her and being all evil and such! Now give me the blue stone,” Blue yells causing a few stares. “The blue stone is mine!” she yells again, anger rising in her.

          Jami looks dead into Blues eyes, “No.”

           “Why you little,” Blue starts and runs towards them screaming causing more stares and shocked looks than ever.

          Jami and Lucy back up and run from her, looking terrified.

          Blue feels range and anger build up in her and she just feels like she really wants to tear apart the two backstabbing girls.

          Blue hears some footsteps behind her. She turns her head around a bit and continues running only finding Violet chase after her.

          “Don’t stop running, show them what you have,” Violet says, her face is bright red with fury. “Show them that you’re not a shy little girl who has no power, so then how strong you are!”

          Blue nods and gets closer to Jami and Lucy. She feels power and pride build in her as she catches up to the girls. She follows them down the stairs and to the back doors that lead outside to the recess ground.

          Jami and Lucy continue to run, and Blue slowly grows tired, but refuses to stop. She turns around to see Violet not far behind and Violet looks the same as her; tired and worn out, but determined to keep on going.

          Blue then trips on the ground by a rock and land on the ground, in front of a stream…the stream that is the boundary for the school property. No student is allowed to cross during schools hours, or you can get into serious trouble. Jami and Lucy just crossed that stream, I have to get them, even if it means breaking school rules.

          “Are you okay Blue,” Violet asks grabbing Blue’s arm. Be for Blue can answer, Violet pulls her up onto her feet.

          Blue nods. “Yeah, I’m fine. But, we have to cross; I saw Jami and Lucy enter the forest.”

          “I also did,” Violet says agreeing. “We have to go on.”

          Blue nods and crosses the stream carefully on the rocks, trying not to fall in since she can’t swim, even if the stream could be shallow, she doesn’t want to risk it. Violet follows behind her.

          Once across, the two girls begin running again, trying to catch up to Jami and Lucy.

          They enter the forest and slow down a bit. Blue starts to feel a bit scared since its dark and the tall trees block out the sun along with the dark storm clouds that are ranging in.
