“Amber, Amber! Are you even listening to me?” Violet asks tugging on Amber’s shirt sounding frustrated and annoyed.

Amber moans and puts her head back down. “Leave me alone.” She mumbles and can hear Violet sigh and put sheets of paper down.

Amber, Violet, Blue and Red have all been working on their science project in the class room since they finished their lunch. And because it is the last Friday of the month of January, lunch is longer than usual and is combined with a much longer free time. It happens on the first and last Friday of each month.

“Amber, are you okay?” Red asks sympathetically and Amber looks up and shrugs.

“Amber, come on and focus. I want to get an ‘A’ on this project. Look at me.” Blue says and snaps her fingers.

Amber just moans and puts her head down again, still feeling bummed out about her break up. She knows that she should get over it, but she can’t. It’s not possible…

“It’s no use; she’s still bummed out about my brother.” Violet says and sighs.

Amber looks at Violet and doesn’t say anything. Violet…what do I do. I need help, serious help. She thinks to herself pulling on her hair.

“Yeah sure, I can help you out.” Violet suddenly says and smiles at Amber.

Amber tilts her head looking confused. “Huh?” Amber asks and Violet looks at her. “Oh right, you can read minds, and you just read mine.”

          Violet nods and grins.

“That’s just creepy,” Blue says turning to Violet. “I beg you; please stay out of my thoughts.”

Red nods in agreement with Blue. “Yes, don’t go into my mind as I have a lot of private things going up in my mind.”

Violet laughs and slightly nods. “No promises.” She says and turns back to Amber.

Blue and Red chuckle and roll their eyes and turn to each other and start talking about something.

“So, what should I do?” Amber asks Violet gripping onto her pencil and manages to break it in half.

“Whoa, calm down there.” Violet says and sits up. “Don’t go all nasty on them pencils.”

Amber stares at her growing quite tense.

Violet sighs. “Just go talk to him, you two haven’t spoken since the break up.” Violet says and crosses her arms.

Well I’ve been giving him texts saying that I want him back and well, other stuff, that enough for you? Amber thinks but doesn’t say out loud. She just nods. “I’ll try and speak to him.” Amber then says and gets up.

Violet nods and gives Amber and smile. “Also, no use in texting him. He removed you from his contact list and deletes all your texts before he reads them.” Violet says. “He completely ignores them.”

“Great, so we aren’t even friends now!” Amber complains.

Violet shrugs. “Well, your break up was quite harsh and you should know that. Now go, he should be by his locker by now.”

“Will you guys come with me?” Amber then asks starting to feel a bit nervous. How do I do this, like seriously?

Red turns to Amber and nods. “Sure.” She says and gets up, Blue following.
