Amber opens up her eyes to an unfamiliar place and begins to panic. Oh no, not another dream! She thinks and moans. What’s going to happen this time, the other dream scared the wits out of me the first time.
It’s dark and cold and Amber can tell that she is underground by her surroundings. The floor is rocky, and so are the walls and it smells like dirt.
At least the surroundings aren’t like the first dream; this one actually has a setting, not a room full of nothing.
Amber crouches down and begins to stand up, and without being carful her head bangs onto the roof of the tunnel.
“Ow!” She whimpers in pain. “That hurt.” She mumbles rubs her hand on her head and feels a small bump.
I guess I’ll just have to crawl my way out. Amber thinks and sighs. Yay, crawling on dirt, my worst nightmare.
She gets down on her hands and knees and turns around and starts to crawl her way out.
The walls begin to cave in, leaving her with nowhere to go. She sighs and gives up. She lies down on the floor and closes her eyes, beginning to feel completely sleepy. When she reopens them, she is still surrounded by rocks and dirt.
How do I get out of here? Amber thinks and looks up at the roof.
Slowly and carefully, she turns around and crawls the other way.
She begins to see light from the distance and scoots over to it, unable to move very much in her dream. She looks up and finds a whole to the surface. Eventually, she makes her way through it.
A few minutes of peacefulness, that’s all I need. Amber thinks and sits down on the soft grass.
Not before long, the ground begins to shake. She gets up on her feet. An earthquake, what the hell? She thinks and looks around.
The area has only a few trees and a cliff behind her. Amber stands up and wobbles away from the cliff. She finds her way to an area with no trees.
As she runs, the ground starts to split apart, right in between her legs. She begins to fall into the opening and holds on to a tree branch sticking out to the side. Amber then screams as her feet dangle to the bottomless pit. She screams at the top of her lungs just wanting a way out.
Amber manages to pull herself on top of the branch and she sits on it as the ground continues to split. What’s going on why is this feeling all real why does this have to be a prophecy dream? Amber thinks and begins to wail.
She hears laughter boom over the walls of the splitting ground and she grumbles to herself.
The ground eventually stops to shake and Amber grabs onto the walls and manages to stand on the branch. From there, she pulls herself onto the surface once more.
She begins to walk around again. “Why is this happening to me? I want to go home.” Amber mumbles and wraps her arms around her waist.
Oh please god, give me safety, and don’t let anything else tragic happen! She begs in her thoughts.
As soon as she gets back to the underground cave she woke up in, the ground starts to shake again.
“Come on!” Amber yells feeling upset and frustrated. “How much longer will this last?” she asks herself feeling completely annoyed.
In an instant, the ground fell silent once more. Amber sighs in relief and leans on the cliff.
I should climb it…wait, why would I do such a thing? Oh right, it can be safer up there. Amber thinks and begins to climb. She loses her grip several times, but manages to reach the top in once piece.
She looks up to find more rocks. Should I climb more, no. I shouldn’t, but I should. Ugh why am I getting the urge to climb it? I hate climbing things.
After about three minutes of arguing with herself about climbing more or not, she starts to hear a loud rumble and a few rocks begin to fall down.
Rock slide! She thinks and panics. Quickly she jumps down the cliff slides on the rocks on the way down, landing on her feet.
She looks up and before she can start running, large boulders and rocks crash onto her and bury her.
Amber struggles to escape but can’t as the rocks surround her, trapping her in.
Amber then screams and everything turns black.
“Amber, wake up! Wake up!” Someone yells. The voice belongs to a male.
Amber sits up on her bed to find her pesky fourteen year old younger brother in front of her. His blue eyes are filled with annoyance.
“What?” Amber moans. “What is it Sage?” she asks and looks at the clock saying that it is five forty-eight am. “Sage, go to sleep. It’s past five in the morning. We have school in a couple of hours.”
“Quiet down. You’ve been screaming. Not too loud though but loud enough to wake me up from my slumber.” Sage says looking quite pissed.
“Sorry.” Amber snaps at him. “Now, get out of my room!” She yells.
Sage puts his hands up in surrender and starts backing up. “Okay, okay. Whatever the princess wants.” He says and puts his hand in his light brown hair, and leaves the room, closing the door behind him.
Amber sighs and drinks some cold water. She begins to think.
The dream, it had to do with the prophecy. I’ve never had a dream that felt so real, it’s like…it’s like the dream world! Someone transported me there, probably to kill me. If so then it was the dark force. They’ve found out who the ancient warriors are. Amber thinks. And the setting of the room, it had to do with earth. And if I remember, the four elements are water, air, fire and earth. I must be the earth element, and so the only way they could get me into the dream world, was to base it off of my element. “I’m sure of it!” Amber then says. “I’ll have to tell the others about this later.”
She climbs back into her bed and eventually falls asleep.
