“Alright, where should we look first?” Red asks putting her hands on her hips. Where should we look?
Violet shrugs and sighs. “I have absolutely no clue.”
“Maybe it’s somewhere in the school,” Amber suggests and Red nods her head agreeing.
“Yeah, maybe,” Blue says. “Okay then, let’s split up and start searching,” she says and grins.
Red nods, “I’ll check the cafeteria.”
“I’ll check the class rooms,” Blue offers.
“I’ll check the bed rooms here in the school,” Violet offers.
“Alright, then I guess I’ll check lockers and other things in the school,” Amber says.
Before the four girls can split up, the bell rings.
“Great, now we have to get to class,” Red complains and starts making her way through the hallways.
They walk up the stairs and up onto the second floor. They walk through the hall way still wet in their clothes, with some kids giving them odd looks.
“Ugh, I wish we were dry already,” Amber whispers.
“Here, grab my hands,” Red says.
“Why?” Violet asks.
“Just do it, okay.” She says. “I’m going to use my powers to warm us up faster.” She says much more quietly.
“Oh, okay.” Blue says and grabs onto Red’s hand. The others also grab onto her hands.
Red closes her eyes and warmth surrounds her body. She then releases her hands from the others and the heat dies down and they are all dry, not completely, but mostly dry.
“Thanks,” Amber says and smiles.
“You’re welcome,” Red says and starts to walk down the hall way again, the others following her.
The girls enter the class room and sit down at their desks and glance over at Mrs. Blooms who is sitting at her desk reading a book.
“Oh I sure hate that woman,” Violet quietly sneers gripping her hand and turning it into a fist.
Red nods and looks away.
“So, what are we going to do?” Blue asks.
Red shrugs. “I don’t know,” she then says and lets out a brief sigh.
“It’s pretty obvious on what we are going to do; after class we search for the stone,” Amber says and grins.
Violet nods in agreement. “Yeah, it is the only option we have. We can’t go looking for it during class or we’ll get a detention, so we will just search for it after school.”
Red and Blue nod.
“I understand,” Blue says nodding.
“Okay, so then after class we’ll be searching for the stone,” Red says and smiles.
The bell rings breaking the awkward silence in the class room making Red jump a bit.
Red closes her English text book and puts it in her book bag and gets up from her seat.
