Simon watched silently as his best friend began to change from his dorky, nerdy highschool self into a man who knew his worth. He looked different, acted different and talked differently. He looked happy. Happy without Simon. Happy with himself and who he's become.

Simon followed him around the world, watching his shows and helping him write songs. The blonde stayed silent as he watched JJ make mistake after mistake, he left him alone thinking it was right. He watched as he bedded women of all kinds. Fell in and out of love as Simon was forced to apologize every time he made a mistake. Simon was forced to put his feelings aside. He knew that his feelings would not be returned but he hoped anyways, that Jide would lie to him and be in love, if only for a day.

Simon sat on the roof with Jj shoulder-to-shoulder, talking about everything and nothing until the sun was beginning to raise. "Im..." oh how badly Simon wanted to shout it out from the rooftops that he was in love with Jide, but instead he kept quiet. "Im happy to be touring with you." Simon isnt happy. Not at all.

They went across the world once more, same routine as always. Simon began to feel this was the only way to stay with him. Watching the love of his life sleep with women and men who weren't him. Watch him get his heart broken by men and women who weren't worthy of his love. Be the only man who could make JJ feel true happiness without the latter even knowing. Forced into unrequited love with his best friend of 14 years.

Lie, lie, lie everyday to himself that he wasn't In love, hopeless love. Lie lie lie lie, that he would one day get him.

He knew that he wouldn't.
