I Promise ~Noct~ *Fluff*

I got out of my car and walked through the market in Lestallum. Arydn had been teaching me how to control the scourge inside of me. I can now use it as a weapon. 'What to buy...' I thought as someone dropped something and it rolled over my foot, "oh...here you go" I smiled as I saw who it was and then my smile went away, standing there was Noct. "Y-Y/n?" he dropped the items in his hands and pulled me into a hug, 'what are the odds...' I was in shock but then returned the hug, "where are you been? After about a week...we went looking for you..." he spoke as I handed him the spice he had dropped, "I did...I...I wanted to see it" I lied, "you should come to see the guys! They'd love to see you" he chuckled as I smiled, "all right" I nodded, he paid for his items and I followed him to the hotel, "you'll never guess who I ran into," he said as he opened the door. When Prompto saw me he instantly jumped into my arms causing me to fall onto the ground. "Y/N! YOU'RE ALIVE!" he shouted with joy, as Gladio and Noct got up and helped me off the ground. "Last I checked..." I laughed, Gladio stared at me, "you changed your hair...it's longer now" he said as we all laughed, "after all that time...that's all you've gotta say?" I cocked my head to the side, "hell no! But...you promised me that you wouldn't die...and you didn't...so no other words are needed" he pulled me into his hug of death as we call it.

"Gladio...death hug" I squeaked as he let go with a smile on his face, I then turned to Ignis who punched me in the jaw. "YOU LIED!" he shouted as the others stared at him, "YOU TOLD ME THAT YOU WOULD MESSAGE ME SO I KNEW YOU WEREN'T DEAD! YOU LIED!" he was beyond angry, I held my jaw. "I'm sorry..." I told him "SORRY?! I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD Y/N! WE COULDN'T FIND YOU...YOU DIDN'T MESSAGE! I CANNOT LOSE ANYMORE FAMILY...YOU HEAR!" he shouted again as I looked at him, "and you won't" I smiled as he pulled me into a hug, "don't...scare me like that..." he whispered, "I promise I won't..." I chuckled.

~A few hours later~

Ignis, Prompto, and Gladio went out to get something to eat as Ignis tended to the cut I had on my mouth and cheek because of Ignis' punch. We were silent, "there...it should be all better..." he gave me a warming smile as I gave him a fake smile and got out of my seat, however, he didn't move. "What?" I asked as he just stared at me, "we left too much unsaid last time..." he started, "don't...what's done is done..." I started, but he grabbed me and held my face. "I'm sorry I hurt you Y/n...I love you...I beat myself up every day because I didn't stop you from getting off the boat that day." he told me as his eyes filled with tears. Then I remembered what Ardyn once told me, 'I'll give you a spell so you'll be able to kiss people and not transfer the scourge to them...once it's in place...it cannot be removed Y/n...' he once told me, the moment I got that spell I used it, thankfully...it never runs out. I quickly closed the gap between Noct and I, we then ended up having a passionate make-out session as he pushed me against the wall, knocking down a few pictures. We traveled over to the door, never breaking the kiss but knocking some more things off the dresser, he locked the door with one of his hands as my fingers tangled with his hair. He pulled away for air, "jump darling..." he whispered as I jumped and wrapped my legs around him, "I missed you so much Noctis" I panted as he carried me to the bed were he threw me onto it, "I missed you too Y/n..." he took his shirt off and threw it somewhere in the room.

He climbed on top of me and continued to kiss me as his hand ran up my shirt, he then began to kiss my neck. "There's just been so many things wrong lately..." I moaned as he continued his assault to leave a mark, "I know love..." he traveled down my body as he removed my shirt, " the only thing that kept me going was that my friends and you were still out there..." I groaned as he began to grind his hips against mine. Then he stopped and kissed me passionately. "I don't want to lose you again Y/n..." he breathed heavily, "you won't Noct..." I smiled, then he got off me, drug through his pockets. "I remember you telling me about these...it's not a proper one...but I think it'll do the trick..." he walked over to me and kneeled down at the edge of the bed. Then he opened a box where a ring sat, "no it's not an engagement ring...it's a promise ring...I got it that day we left Gauldin for Caem...I was going to give it to you that night...it was going to be romantic...but you got sent back to your world and then..." he trailed off as I studied his face. "To be honest...I don't know what a promise is..." he awkwardly chuckled "It can symbolize the love and commitment within a one-2-one relationship. It is sometimes worn as a pre-engagement ring. For young couples, with little money, an engagement ring can be expensive. A promise ring can act as a stand-in ring, for a couple to take their relationship one stage further." I told him, "so it is technically an engagement ring" he chuckled, "how about...we make our own meaning behind a promise ring" I smiled, "do you accept the ring?" he cocked his head to the side, "yes" I nodded as he chuckled, he pulled the ring out of the box and held it in his fingers, "I promise...to love you. Now and forever, until the end of time, and to never hurt you as I did before. To always be your protector, your shoulder to cry on, your railing for support, your crutch to help you walk, and care for you...with my ever undying love. The journey you take...is mine as well as yours." he spoke as I cried because I thought it was beautiful. "Y/n?" he was worried, "I'm fine...that was just so beautiful..." I wiped my eyes as he smiled.

"THAT'S GREAT AND ALL...DO YOU GUYS THINK YOU COULD LET US IN NOW?!" shouted Gladio, Noct got up, walked out the balcony and laughed. "Yeah! Give me a sec" he shouted down to them. I put on his shirt as the friends walked in, "geez! You guys got busy in here" Gladio chuckled as I rolled my eyes, "we were going to...but then...he gave me a promise ring" I smiled, "you mean a substitute engagement ring?" Prompto chuckled, "it is technically that...however, we're not using it for that..." I told him as he shrugged.
