Love Letters ~Ignis Scientia~ *Fluff*

I sat outside writing something when I saw something that was confusing, Ignis walked past, he didn't notice me, but he was carrying two boxes, one was large, and the other was a shoe box. I watched as he put them down, he opened the top box and out flew two blue jays, they flew around as he had a pleased look on his face, then one landed on his finger and rubbed against him as if it was saying thanks, then it flew off, and he kneeled down. I watched as he opened the shoe box then what he pulled out nearly made my heart melt. I was a white bunny, he set it down on the ground as it sniffed and hopped around. I heard him give a small chuckle, "give me a moment..." he told the bunny as he reached into the box and pulled out three smaller bunnies, 'oh god! It has babies!' my eyes went wide, the bunny then hopped off into the bushes with its three babies following their mama. He had another pleased smile, he picked up the boxes and then walked off. All while never noticing me, I quickly started to write a little love letter to him since I was in love with him and I wanted to let him know but without actually letting him know. Once it was done, I walked to his room, I snuck in, he thankfully wasn't there, and then I placed the letter on his pillow and then snuck out. I was walking down the hall when I ran into Gladio, "why do you look like you've done something bad?" he cocked an eyebrow as I gave him a fake hurt look, "I'm hurt that you would even think that" I said as he crossed his arms, "all right fine...I wrote a love letter to someone okay...it currently resides in his room on his pillow...if he comes to you about it...don't tell him it was from me" I told him as he chuckled.

"What makes you think that we even know each other?" he cocked his head to the side, "because, you are his best friend...both of you sworn to protect the king...no matter the costs," I told him as his eyes went wide, "no way! You wrote him a love letter?!" He shouted with a smiled as I giggled, "I did indeed my friend" I said as we walked away.

-Iggy's Pov-

I returned to my room for the night when I saw a letter laying on my pillow, I cocked my head as I picked it up. 'A love letter? To me?' I sat on my bed and read it, it talked about how cute I looked when I released the bunny and the two blue jays earlier in the garden. My face went red in embarrassment because no one knew I had a soft spot for animals, "Gladio!" I shouted as I ran through the hall to his room, "wait! Then he'd know about my soft spot for small animals..." I mumbled to myself, I ran back to my room before Gladio opened the door, and I panted because of all the running I was doing. "There was no one in the garden at the time! Who could've seen me?!" I was panicked.

~Your pov~

I smiled as I heard him say that he had a soft spot for small animals, I then retreated to my room and began to write another letter, the next day I went to the pet store 'should I get him a kitten or a puppy?' I looked at the kitten that looked like it had glasses on, and then at the puppy that was white and had black circles around his eyes. "Excuse me" I said looking at the cashier, "I'd like both the kitten and pup that looks like they have glasses please" I smiled as she nodded, I bought them and then took them home. I kept them in the box as I bought some dog food, cat food, some collars, some toys, and some bowls. I figured that Ignis was hiding to try and find out who was sending the letters so I went to Gladio. "You want me to what?" he raised an eyebrow, "take these to his room for me...he's probably hiding to try and find out who it is...I can't be seen...please Gladio...do it for your baby sister" I gave him the pleading puppy dog look and he groaned, "you're lucky I love you...wait...what do I tell him when he catches me?" he asked, "say that some woman that was told by some other woman asked you to take these to his room" I smiled as he nearly dropped the box, "don't drop it!" I exclaimed "all right chill..." he sighed as he walked off.

-Ignis' pov-

I hid behind a corner to see who entered my room when I saw Gladio walk in with a box and some bags. I ran to my room, "you're the one leaving the letters?" I asked as he jumped and nearly dropped the box, "no! Some lady who was asked by another lady wanted me to take these things to your room...along with this letter." he said as he placed the box down, I read the letter, once more it talked about my love for animals and how whoever this was thought it was extremely cute, then the letter said to open the box, and when I did my heart nearly melted at the sight of a kitten and pup, both looked as though they had glasses on. I gasped as my eyes went wide, Gladio looked in the box, "that's adorable..." he simply said as I dug around in the bag and saw that there was cat food, dog food, bowls, and toys. 'This is so cute!' I wanted to pick them both up and just squeal because once more, small animals are a weakness of mine, "out!" I shouted as I pushed Gladio out of my room, I walked back over to the bag and set the bowls down, I filled them up with water and food and then I picked up the two adorable animals and put them on the floor. They trotted over to their food and began eating. I sat down on the floor, "I'm gonna name you Y/n..." I pointed at the eating kitten and then pointed at the puppy, "your name is going to be Ignis..." I smiled at the names I had picked out, "Oh I love this!" I practically shouted.

~Your pov~

I smiled as I heard him, then king Noct walked past but stopped and looked at me. "What are you doing?" he asked as I jumped, then I pulled him away from Ignis' door, and we started walking. "I might have given Ignis a puppy and a kitten...is that all right?" I asked him as he cocked his head to the side, "why? Iggy doesn't get excited about that stuff like Prompto" he chuckled, "you'd be surprised..." I told him, "wait...are you the one leaving him the letters?" he asked as I smiled, "holy shit! He's gonna squeeze the life out of you when he finds out you gave him the animals..." he chuckled as I blushed. Then I heard running coming from the hall, "Noct! There you ar-..." Ignis stopped himself when he saw me, "hello Y/n..." he cleared his throat and pushed up his glasses as he brushed himself off to make himself more formal looking, "your majesty..." he started, "may I have a word?" he asked looking at Noct, "I'll see ya later Noct, I've gotta go write something for someone" I said as I dropped the hint and Noct snorted, I saw Iggy tense a little, and I walked away holding up the peace sign.

-Iggy's Pov-

'Is it...Y/n?' I watched as she walked away, "in case you're wondering...yes" Noct said as I looked at him with a confused look "you can keep them..." and then he gestured to the puppy and kitten that had wandered into the hall, "ah!" I exclaimed as I ran over to them and then picked them and put them back in my room, "I never knew you had a weakness for small animals..." he said as I sighed and closed the door behind me, "not just small animals Noct...animals in general...when I not being your advisor...I spend my time at either the Aquarium or the Zoo...there's something about animals that I find comforting..." I explained, "they don't judge?" he asked as I rolled my eyes, "other than that..." I told him as he smiled and patted me on the shoulder, "good luck on finding out who's leaving the letters" he told me as he walked off.

~Your pov~

'The Aquarium? Perfect!' I smiled as I retreated to my room. I wrote the last letter I'm giving to him and then went to bed. The next morning I woke up and felt confident. I got dressed and then walked over to Iggy's bedroom door where I heard the pup give a small bark and then a small laugh. I smiled, took a deep breath, and then knocked on the door. I knew today would be his day off, he opened the door, and then smiled. "Hello, Y/n. How may I help you?" he asked, "I'm like...really bored...wanna go hang out and look at fish at the Aquarium?" I cocked my head as his eyes went wide and he grew a smile, "let me get changed..." he nodded "great! I'll see you at the doors" I smiled as I walked off, "did you just ask him on a date?" Gladio's voice spoke as I jumped, "yes...and I'm giving him the last letter today" I calmed my breathing as he smiled and gave me a kiss on my forehead. "Good luck sis...now I'm gonna go train our nephew..." he told me, he was talking about the child our sister had with Noct (because Iris and Noct...OMG IT'S SO ADORABLE!) I stood by the door until Ignis approached me, he looked really nice and relaxed. "Shall we?" he asked as I smiled, he drove us to the Aquarium, we walked around examining the different fish, we were in a tunnel that had glass so we could see the fish swim above us.

"It's the sea-pancake!" I exclaimed as a sting-ray swim overhead, "sting-ray Y/n" he chuckled, "sea-pancake..." I gave him a fake glare as he chuckled and pushed his glasses up. "Um...I-Iggy...uh..." I blushed, "hmm?" he smiled while looking at me, I was silent for a moment, "here!" I shoved the letter into his chest and he gave a small oof as my hands hit his chest. I looked away as he looked at the letter, "it was you? You saw me in the garden?" he asked, "keep r-reading" I stuttered as he continued to read and then his face went red. He threw the letter down, grabbed my arm and pulled me into a deep passionate kiss. "You're so stupid Y/n...you could've told me instead of leaving letters..." he whispered as our foreheads met, I chuckled as our noses brushed against each other, "you got to admit...the letters were kinda romantic..." I whispered as he chuckled, "from now on...we'll leave letters addressed to the both of us...and signed by both of us... every day...until the end of time...I love you Yn" he said as he gave me another kiss, "I love you too" I whispered against his lips as he gave me a third kiss.
