Training ~Gladio~ *Fluff*

I knocked on my friend's door, he opened it and smiled when he saw me. "Hey Y/n...what's up?" he asked leaning on the door frame, "I want you to train me," I told him as he furrowed his eyebrows and cocked his head, "why?" he asked, "for like...protection...what if something happens? I've gotta know how to defend myself" I explained, he going through what I told him in his head, "make sense" he said with a smile, "we can start tomorrow" he chuckled as I groaned, "thing is...I'm going camping with a few friends tomorrow and we'll be gone all week...so I was hoping you could teach me today" I lied about the camping trip, I just wanted to spend time with Gladio, and he chuckled. "Going camping without me? I see how you are...anyways...yeah I can do it today...not like I'm doing anything else..." he stretched, "come on in" he moved aside and I walked in, I wasn't surprised when I saw a thing of cup noodles sitting on his coffee table. "Gaddy?" asked a little girl, (I should've mentioned that this is younger Gladiolus...he's like...eighteen) "what is it Iris?" he asked as he knelt down to the little girl, "are you going to train now?" she asked as he nodded and then she grew a pouty look on her face, "you promised to have a tea party with me today!" she shouted as his face went red, "Iris..." he started, "you promise!" she shouted again, "and he'll uphold that promise" I spoke as they both looked at me, "because if there's anything I know about your big brother...he always keeps his promises" I smiled at her as she laughed, "yay!" she then ran upstairs to her room.

"Maybe you should have Ignis train you...you defused that rather quickly" he chuckled as I smiled, "but I didn't go to him...now did I?" I looked at him, "come on Gladdy! And bring your friend!" Iris shouted from her room as he sighed. "This is embarrassing..." he mumbled under his breath as we made out way up the steps, "I think it's cute" I told him as he looked at me with a red face, "it shows that you're more than a pair of walking muscles...it shows that you care for your family...that's a trait most don't have these days..." I sighed as he gave me a small smile. We made it to Iris' room, "Gladdy, you sit here" she gestured to the small pink, plastic chair, and he took his seat. "you can sit here miss" she gestured to the one across from Gladio. I smiled, "my name is Y/n adorable one" I chuckled as Gladio smiled and I took my seat. She ran over to the seat across from her and placed her stuffed bunny in the seat. "Mr. Bunny can sit here!" she giggled as she ran back over to her seat and sat back down, "Iris" Gladio started as we both looked at him, "Mr. Bunny is looking at me funny..." Gladio gave a fake sad face as she gasped, "Mr. Bunny! Don't be mean to Gaddy!" she yelled as I giggled at her adorableness, 'she's so cute!' I mouthed to Gladio as he chuckled and nodded as if he knew that already. "Okay...now if everyone is going to play nice...we can begin!" she smiled as she grabbed the plastic teapot, "here you go Gladdy" she spoke as she poured him the imaginary tea.

"Miss. Y/n" she gestured as I held my plastic cup up and she poured me the tea, "thank you Iris" I smiled as she giggled, "would you like some sugar Gladdy?" she asked her big brother "no thank you, Iris," he smiled sweetly at her, "Y/n?" she looked over at me, "yeah please...two lumps please" I told her as she used the plastic tongs to pick up the 'sugar' that was there, she placed two of them in my cup, and I stirred it. We played tea party until she grew tired, Gladio put her in her bed, tucked her in, gave her a kiss on her forehead, and then left. We walked back downstairs where his father sat on the couch, "oh...hello ma'am. Gladio who's your friend?" he dad smiled at me, "I'm Y/n...nice to meet you Mr. Amicitia" I bowed as he chuckled, "no need for formality..." he chuckled as we shook hands, "anyways! Iris has been put to sleep...Y/n and I are headed out back. She wants me to train her." Gladio told his dad, "all right...don't forget that you're training the prince tomorrow!" his dad yelled after us as we walked outside, he summoned his greatsword as he tossed me a sword, we trained for a few hours until he had accidentally cut my arm with his sword. "Shit! Y/n...I'm so sorry" he rushed to my side as I winced in pain, he kneeled down in front me, "let me see..." he was worried, I moved my hand so he could see the bloody cut I had. "Damn...I'm so sorry. Here" he picked me up "whoa!" I was shocked so I gripped onto his shirt, he sat me down in a chair, "stay here" he told me as he ran off. He came back and began to dress my wound, "no more training..." he whispered, "but..." I started, "you got hurt Y/n...if I had missed your arm and killed you...I'd never forgiven myself," he told me, "Gladio...you don't understand do you?" I asked as he finished dressing my cut, he looked deep into my eyes. "What?" he cocked his head to the side as I chuckled.

"I don't care if I know how to fight or not...that's, not the reason I asked you to train me..." I started as he studied my face, "then why'd you ask?" he cocked his head to the side as I saw Clarus lean against the doorframe of the kitchen door out of the corner of my eye. I sighed, "I asked because I wanted to spend time with you...and I get it..it's your job, it's in your blood to be the king's sworn shield...I just wanted to hand with you again." I chewed on my lip as he gave me the look of shock, "Y/n..." he started as he placed a hand on my cheek, "I'm in love with you Gladio..." I finally said as he tensed a little and then chuckled. "You're so stupid..." he whispered as he placed his forehead against mine. "You don't need to ask me to train you if you wanna hang..." he added as I smiled a little, "I love you too Y/n..." he finally said as his father had a large smile on his face and then he walked away.

~Time skip to a few years~

I was hired as an assassin by Niflheim to kill Noct (kinda like Arenea) I ran towards him ready to attack but someone got in front of him and blocked me, the man knocked me back, and I skidded across the ground (more like your feet skidded) "who are you?" the man asked as I looked at him. Then I gasped when I saw the tattoos on his arms, "Gladio?" I asked as he glared at me, I threw my sword onto the ground, and fell to the ground. "It is you...isn't it?" I started crying because I thought he had died, then he gasped as he stabbed his greatsword into the dirt and walked up to me. "Y-Y/n?" he asked as he knelt down in front of me, he placed a finger under my chin and made me look at him. He studied my face and then hugged me tightly. "I thought you were dead," we both said as I cried into his arms. "Wait...what just happened?" Noct then asked as Gladio held me, "it appears that this is his girlfriend he told me about once..." Ignis pushed his glasses up, "what?!" Noct was just as confused as Prompto.
