I sat in the bathtub, candles lit, bubbles resting over my breasts so I was technically covered, soft music playing, and the smell of lavender filled the air. I let out a small sigh. Completely relaxed. Soon there was a knock on the door pulling me out of my thoughts, "Y/n, hurry up in there" my mother spoke as I groaned, "your fiancee is here" she spoke as I growled. 'That's right...I'm marrying a complete and total stranger...because my grandfather decided to start a war with Insomnia...I know nothing about this person, he's a Caelum and apparently the uncle to the prince and king' I sighed as I blew out the candles, turned off the music and wrapped my soaked body in a towel. I walked into my bedroom where my mother and a man with long wine-red hair stood. "Uh..." I spoke as they both looked at me, "Y/n! You're not dressed!" mom exclaimed as I furrowed my eyebrows at her, "because my clothes are in here...my bedroom!" I spoke as she sighed, "get dressed..." she spoke shaking her head, I growled as I saw she wasn't leaving, I walked over to the dresser and pulled out some clothes. I walked into the bathroom and put on some clothes.

My heels clicked against the floor as I walked into my bedroom and crossed my arms. "Happy?" I asked my mother as she sighed, "please don't do this today..." she spoke as I rolled my eyes, "you know full well where I stand on this whole thing...I can't believe I have to be the one to bail grandfather out of the mess he caused" I spoke as the man stared at me. "Y/n...this is Ardyn...your betrothed" mom spoke as I looked at the man, "hi..." I smiled as he returned the smile. "All right! If we're gonna be married then we should be allowed to plan the wedding" I looked at mom, she opened her mouth to say something, "you already had your wedding mom...if I'm gonna get married...I'm planning it" I told her as I walked up to Ardyn, "very well" she spoke as I grabbed his hand. "Let's go...I know of a place we can do the planning" I spoke as I dragged him out of the room. We walked through the halls until we reached the gardens. I sat down under a tree with a loud sigh. "Sorry if I sounded rude about the whole marriage thing..." I said as he sat beside me, "it's fine...I understand what you mean...we know nothing about each other, other than the fact that we know our lineage...and that's about it" he spoke as I nodded. "Yep! Which is why I wanted us to be able to plan our wedding...it's a way for us both to get to know each other and find out what the other likes" I smiled as he chuckled.
