Zoo ~Cor~ *FLUFF*

I sat at a cafe minding my own business and humming when my boyfriend sat across from me. "Puppy or kitten?" he asked as I looked at him and arched an eyebrow, "why?" I asked as he chuckled, "I'm just curious if you had to pick one, which would you pick?" he asked as I snorted, "Cor, babe...you know I have a weakness for all things cute. It's why I'm with you and why I'm good friends with Prompto...when it comes to puppies or kittens...I can't decide...both are cute. Like sea-cows" I explained as he arched an eyebrow, "manatees...the cow of the sea! They're so fucking cute! Like sloths! Oh, I love both!" I fangirled and he chuckled, "seriously Y/n, pick one" he spoke, "sloth." I simply said as he laughed, "I meant a puppy or a kitten" he said, "why though?" I asked as he chuckled, "I can't tell you...you just have to pick" he said as I thought for a moment, "both! Final answer" I said as he smiled, he leaned over the table and kissed my forehead, "all right!" he checked his watch, "my break is over, I'll see you when I get home" he smiled as I waved at him and watched as he left.

Small a/n: this takes place in Insomnia but not in the game if that makes sense. It's like a mixture of the game and our world. Cor isn't the Marshal in this, he works in a company run by Regis, and it's a very popular and famous company. So Noct is basically the heir to said company.~Sky

I headed home for the day since my shift was over at the cafe, I stretched when I placed my keys and bag on the coffee table. I sat on the couch, my head snapping to the door when I heard the door open. "Y/n, I'm home!" Cor spoke as I saw he was holding a box. "Hey, you" I smiled as he looked at me and hid the box behind his back, "oh...heeey" he spoke as I snorted, "what's in the box?" I asked as he smiled, "so I talked to Regis, and he let me get off early. What are you doing here? Thought you got off two hours before me" he spoke as I groaned, "they needed me to stay longer...will you tell me what is in the box?" I asked as he smiled again. He walked over to the other side of the coffee table so he was now in front of our TV that was off. He gently set the box on the coffee table. "Open it" he smiled, I arched an eyebrow, and he laughed. "If I wanted to do something bad to you...I would've done it when we first met. Just open it" he spoke as I giggled. 'Yay! A gift!' I mentally spoke as I opened the box. A kitten looked at me and mewed making my heart melt, beside the kitten, sniffing the box was a puppy. "Oh. my. Gods. It's a Boxer puppy! And a Russian Blue kitten! My heart cannot handle the cuteness!" I slid off the couch holding my chest and Cor laughed. "You wouldn't give me a proper answer, so I got both...figured since you have a weakness for animals, you would like either one. But you said both...so I chose both...do you like them?" he asked as he sat on the couch, I got off the floor and sat beside him.

I gave him a kiss. "They're no sloth or manatee...but I love still love them," I said getting the animals out of the box and setting them on the table.

~A few years later~

Our dog Max and our cat Smokey were all grown up. I was on the couch, watching TV and petting Smokey as he purred in my lap. I hears keys jingle and Max started barking at the door, Cor walked in and was immediately attacked with licks from Max. "Hey buddy!" he spoke as he pets Max who barked and then trotted off. Cor chuckled and walked up to me with his hands behind his back. "I have a gift for you sweetie" he smiled as I arched an eyebrow, "is it more animals? Cause we already have two kids...no more" I joked as he chuckled, "no...however, Smokey, and Max are the best kids we could ever have." He spoke as I smiled, "all right...what is it?" I asked as he smiled and held out two tickets to the zoo. "Wanna go to the zoo tomorrow?" he smiled as I smiled. "Hell yeah!" I spoke as he chuckled and kissed me.

~Next day~

We walked around the zoo hand in hand as he held the leash for Max who was barking. I was in the middle of thought when he looked at me, "Hey, where's your head?" he asked as I looked at him, "last time you gave me gifts...you were going away on a business trip for a month..." I spoke as he looked at me, "I promise it's not that...it's completely different...but! You won't know until the end of our date" he smiled as he kissed my forehead, we continued to walk around and I kept thinking about what he could be planing. "Look, Flamingos!" he exclaimed as I looked up and saw the pink birds, "did you know that Flamingos aren't pink. They are born with grey feathers, which gradually turn pink in the wild because of a natural pink dye called canthaxanthin that they obtain from their diet of brine shrimp and blue-green algae." I told him as he chuckled, "you've got too much strange knowledge in that beautiful brain of yours" he spoke as I giggled, "I don't know why I know this...I just do" I shrugged as he chuckled, we continued to walk when a cold gust of wind blew past. I shivered and he wrapped his arm around me. I smiled and slid one of my hands into his pocket. "Maybe we should've waited until it was warmer" he mumbled as I felt a box in his pocket.

I grabbed it and pulled my hand out of his pocket. "Y-Y/n! You can't just lift stuff from me like that" his face grew red, "too late! Already did it" I spoke as he looked away with a red face, I smiled as I looked at the little velvet box, I opened it and saw a beautiful ring. My eyes grew wide as I looked at him. "I was trying to keep it a secret...and wait until we were done at the zoo...but! You lifted it...you little pick-pocket" he spoke as I looked at the ring. I took the ring out of the box, slid it on my finger and put the box back in his pocket. "Y/n Leonis...gotta nice...ring to it doesn't it?" I spoke as he groaned and rolled his eyes. "You and your bad jokes..." he chuckled as Max ran around us and pulled us together. "Hey, you're the one marrying me...so my bad jokes come with the package" I smiled as he chuckled and wrapped his arms around me. "I know..." he whispered as he kissed me.
