Birthday Boy ~Gladio~ *Fluff*

I frantically helped Ignis get the house ready for my boyfriends birthday party, "Iggy! You're supposed to be making the dinner and the cake!" I exclaimed as he nodded and then went into the kitchen, "Noct..." I said knocking my brother's feet off the table, "are you going to help or not?" I put my hand on one of my hips, "wasn't really planning on it..." he sighed, as I groaned, and rolled my eyes. "Prompto and he will be here any minute Noct! I need help setting up the decor rations...please help me" I told him as sighed, "fine..." he got off the couch and began to help me with setting up the decorations, then I heard the keys rattling and Prompto speaking, I quickly turned off the lights, and the three of us hid. "No...I mean, it's one of those types of things where I want to...but I'm also scared. Like eating and then deciding to go on a roller-coster...how are you supposed to just ask someone that?" I heard my boyfriend say as he flipped on the lights, the three of us jumped out and shouted surprise which made him jump. "Aw! You all know you shouldn't have...I'm not worth all the stress" Gladio chuckled as I threw my arms around him, "liar...you're always worth any type of stress" I smiled as I kissed his nose, he chuckled, and then kissed my forehead.

"I even got you a shirt...sadly...it's a crop-top...because they didn't have a normal shirt..." I snorted as he chuckled, I walked upstairs to our room, I dug around the dresser for the shirt I had hidden from him and then walked downstairs. I smiled as I tossed him the shirt, he snorted as he then threw off his shirt that he was wearing and put the crop-top on. "Birthday Boy!" Prompto shouted as I laughed, Ignis has then pulled out a piece of paper and began to write on it. Then he folded it up and shoved it back into his pocket. "So what is planned?" Gladio asked as I shrugged, "Ignis was the one who planned all the party games and stuff..." we looked over at Ignis, "I...may have forgotten to do that..." Ignis seemed embarrassed to say that, we all looked at him with shock. "Wait...you forgot?" Prompto finally asked, "I was busy" Ignis cleared his throat with red cheeks as he pushed up his glasses, "with what?" Gladio asked as we all sat down on the couch, "with...my boyfriend..." Ignis finally said as we stared at him and Noct just kinda looked around the room. "You have a boyfriend?" Prompto was shocked, Ignis looked over at Prompto and then stood up. He approached Noct, grabbed him, and pulled him into a kiss.

Then he looked at us, "yes...I have a boyfriend" he held Noct close as Noct's face went red. "Iggy..." he mumbled as he looked away. I smiled "I think it's cute!" I giggled, as Ignis smiled, then they took a seat, and we sat there for a moment, "let's just do what we always do..." Gladio then said, "I've got one better!" I got up, went over to the stereo, and started playing some music. "Music?" he cocked an eyebrow, "we party! That's we do, we did it before everything went to shit and Noct became king...soo...let's do it again! Just the five of us" I smiled as Prompto jumped up, "Hell yeah!" he fist pumped the air, "I'm down" Noct said, "it would indeed help pass the time..." Ignis pushed his glasses up, "I'm always down to party" Gladio spoke as I turned up the music and then ran into the kitchen I got us all some alcohol knowing Ignis didn't drink I got him some Ebony. He was the one who took care of us when we got too drunk that the walls and floors became out best friends. I walked back into the front room where I saw Noct, Prompto, and Gladio dancing around. Ignis was too invested in writing in his journal. I handed Iggy his Ebony which earned thanks to him, I then placed the alcohol on the coffee table, and then joined in on the dancing. After several hours and several drinks, we were sitting on the couch watching old, stupid horrors movie, and criticizing them. "Oh come on! If you hear a noise and you know you're alone in the house, you don't go towards it!" Gladio shouted as I laughed, "you can't tell me that you wouldn't go towards the noise because you were curious" I told him as I looked at him, he held me in his arms, "I'd grab my damn sword and then investigate" he grumbled as I snorted.

Then I felt a head fall on my shoulder, I looked over and saw the now passed out blonde laying on my shoulder, "I think Prompto passed out," I whispered to him, then he gestured to Ignis and Noct who were asleep on the ground cuddling. "Those two are asleep as well" he whispered as I yawned and checked the time. "It's like...four in the morning..." I mumbled as I started to fall asleep, "let's get to bed..." he spoke as he picked me up bridal style, he then carried me upstairs and I snuggled into his firm chest. Then he laid me on the bed and then laid behind me. He pulled me closer to him, he rested his arm under my pillow, and his other arm held me. He sighed heavily, as I closed my eyes, "hey Y/n..." he started, "hmm?" I asked not opening my eyes, "can I tell you something?" he cleared his throat, "mhm...", "when Prompto came to get me...I was...at the therapist..." his grip around me tightened as I opened my eyes, "can I ask why you were there baby?" I rolled over to look at him "they were doing a psych thing..." he told me as he played his forehead against mine, "I have PTSD, depression, and anxiety..." he whispered, "you know...that doesn't make you any different than the rest of us..." I told him.

"Well...I wanted to ask..." he started as we stared into each other's eyes, "how do you deal with your depression?" he then asked, "...I don't deal with it...I mean...I force myself to get past those days, and sometimes there are just days where I'm constantly thinking about ending it...all of it...so I would have no more pain, no more sadness, no more stress, and no more worries..." I started as he gave me as concerned look, "but...then I remember about the ones I love...and about how if I do end it...then I put the sorrow that I had...onto them...so I don't end it. I keep pushing...every day..." I told him as he gave a small smile, "plus if I ended it...you'd bring me back to life just to kick my ass for leaving you alone..." I told him as he started laughing. "Let's get some sleep," he said as he kissed my forehead and we both fell asleep. I woke up the next morning and cuddled up to the man sleeping beside me. He groaned and then his eyes fluttered open, "hey Y/n...can I ask you something?" he sleepily asked as I nodded, he cleared his throat, sat up, and dug around in the bedside table on his side of the bed. Then he rolled over, "open your eyes babe" he whispered as my eyes opened slightly, his arm propped up so he was sitting on his side but once more, his arm was holding him up. He took a deep breath, and in front of me was a little black velvet box.

"So I've been thinking..." he began as he ran his fingers through his hair, "I love you Y/n...I always have and always will, the fact that you're the princess, and you could literally have anyone else in Insomnia...but you chose me...makes me so happy that I can't even describe..." he smiled, then he opened the box and I saw a beautiful ring sitting in it. I quickly sat up and looked at him, "Y/n Lucis Caelum..." he began as he picked the box up and sat up. "Will you do me the honors...of becoming Y/n Amicitia?" he then asked as I smiled and stared into his eyes, "which finger do I put this on?" I softly asked as he gasped and smiled. "I would assume you put it on your ring finger..." he said as he took the ring on my ring finger, then I gave him one of his death hugs which cause him to fall over onto his back while laughing. "I love you Gladio," I told him as we placed our foreheads together, "and I love you...future Mrs. Amicitia" he smiled as we kissed passionately.
