Olivia"We can't kill a human being!" My mother hissed, and everyone shushed her.
"Look at it this way, son." My dad said. "The company is the worker's money source. If Benjamin dies, someone will take over it, or his people will come for us. It'll still be going."
"What can we do?" I asked quickly.
"We need to get them on our side." My mother said quietly.
"-exactly!" Dad said. Jay and I looked at each other, then at them again.
"You guys have a company, right? You can let them join, give them good money, or threaten to put them behind bars." Jay mumbled.
"Yes, exactly." My dad said. "We'll need a ton of money though."
"My family can help, and I'm sure Chaz's mom is already in. She's loaded. You all can merge your companies and get everyone to work with you." Jay brainstormed.
"Guys, see," I got a theory. "We all know Benjamin is really bossy, and from what I've seen, the staff are afraid of him. What if they're trying to escape, but he's not allowing them to? No need to merge anything, that would take time. By bringing them on our side, we're helping them." I said, and everyone stared at me.
"That's honestly smart." Jay mumbled.
"If we start taking his people, he'll notice and come for us." Mom mumbled.
"No, they'll work their normal schedule, and plan to get Benjamin in the right place at the right time. They will know help is coming their way, and they still get a job in either our, or Chaz's mom's company." I said.
"I have an idea." My mom said. "If we get them on our side, no need to kill anyone. Everyone will be a witness versus him, and then the police would join in too and put him in prison forever."
"Genius!" Jay said.
"I agree." My dad nodded.
"Me too." I murmured.
Like did we all know It was way easier said than said.
The next day, the four of us went to the company, and brainwashed a few employees and told me to pass the news. It was very stressful, and some of them even almost called security, and didn't believe in the illegal side, but luckily we were all undercover.
We sent emails, told people from my parents' company to help, and worked so hard to only get a few people supporting us.
I stepped in Chaz's hospital room, tears threatening to fall. I sat on the seat next to him and took his hand. There were way more wires and cables than before, and there was even a nasal cannula by his nose.
"I'm doing this for you, babe." I murmured, softly squeezing his hand. "Because I love you and can't live without you."
"Please wake up." My eyes teared up. "I don't know for how long I can take this."
I expected his dreamy blue eyes to open, for him to smile at me like he did before, or even smirk or tease me or get me angry, but nothing happened. He was still lying there, not moving.
The screen next to him read 38 beats per minute, and about two tears slipped. "Please, get well soon. I can't take this."
Then, I started to get that sick feeling all over again. Like I was going to faint or throw up. "What are you doing to me?"
I placed a kiss on his soft hair before I left the room. I had to go to his dad's company again today, and try offering everyone a better pay and treatment in my parent's work.
