OliviaBefore I knew it, tomorrow I had to start college. Taylor and I went down to the field to sign up for activities. She spent all of yesterday with Jay. He showed her around, they ate outside, and I met her at night only. I didn't mind though, having Chaz's company was better than anything.
"I'm going for volleyball." Taylor said to a coach in a blue jacket with the university's logo.
"That's great, it's in the gym inside." She smiled sweetly.
"Alright, Via, I'll see you." Taylor softly punched my shoulder.
"Okay." I said as she ran to the opposite direction.
"And you? Not much of a sports person, huh?" She laughed. She meant it in a friendly way but it sounded a bit offensive to me.
"Actually, yes. I'll sign up for football." I crossed my arms.
"That's great, right here." She pointed to the spacious field behind her. I smiled and entered. A group of people were standing in a circle. A couple of desks and chairs were scattered randomly with some papers.
I approached the girls' group. I was a bit nervous, and the fact that Taylor just left made it worse.
"Hey." I said in a low tone.
"This is the football team." A girl with dark curls and green eyes spoke. She looked absolutely stunning. Her lips were full and her lashes were perfect. She was like a living American doll.
"I know. I'm joining." I said firmly.
"Cool eyes." She raised her eyebrows. "Contacts?"
"No." I said quickly. I was used to this question by now.
"Oh wow." She gasped, staring right through me.
"Olivia." I introduced.
"I'm Zaya." She stated subtly. "Last year's captain."
"Do you have any experience with football?" A girl with long brown hair and dark eyes stated rudely.
"Yes. Of course." I rolled my eyes.
"Rude." She raised her eyebrows and I sighed.
"Cut the crap, Cathy." Zaya rolled her eyes.
"I do have experience with football. Really good experience." I folded my arms as the girls who were in the circle stared at me.
"I'll write your name down. We will have auditions or whatever on Friday." She grabbed a notepad and wrote my name.
"Oakley." I added.
"Okay, cool. We're voting for captains after the auditions."
"That's good." I shrugged.
"Freshman?" She glanced at me.
"Yeah. I came from the high school."
"Blue Kingston High? So many people joined from there."
"Yeah." I shrugged again.
"The guys are so hot." She laughed lightly. "Do you know Matt? Matthew Evans?"
"Yeah." I said weakly. I was not going to mention that he was my ex, and that he was a total psychopath.
"Wow. He's so hot." She laughed lightly. I wondered how she'd react when she saw Chaz. Matt was nothing compared to him. I was a bit relieved since Chaz wasn't here. The girls seemed like absolute hoes who were going to throw themselves at any guy who passed by them.
