OliviaI walked on the familiar dark hardwood before I stopped at the arched opening to the living room.
I bit the inside of my cheeks to stop myself from grinning when I saw Chaz, looking good as always. It was extremely unbelievable how good looking he was. Every feature of his was glorious, making a striking full shape. Such perfect features only existed using photoshop and surgeries. But we weren't online to consider photoshop, and I remembered Chaz arguing with Dan once about how plastic surgeries should've never been invented and how stupid the Kardashians were.
I took a deep breath and approached Dan and Chaz, they were both focused on the laptop in front of them. Before I could speak, a new voice joined the chat.
"What're you guys doing?" A girl came in from a different entrance and my jaw dropped. That was Brittney. The same brat from Jay's hangout long ago. What was she doing here? Jay and Brittney weren't really friends.. unless Chaz brought her here.
She flicked her long, straight dark locks behind her shoulders and fixed her tank top in a way that one strap fell off her shoulder. She had such a perfect, smooth caramel skin and big, dark eyes. She was the type that looked mysterious and fierce. Totally unlike me.
When her eyes fell on me, a disgusted look formed on her face that made me lose almost all of my confidence. "Isn't she that girl from the practice or something?" She asked and at that moment, I lost all of my confidence.
She made herself look like she was close to the people here, and that I was a complete stranger. Even though everyone here was one of my closest friends.
Chaz and Dan's heads shot up to me. A small smirk formed on Chaz's lips as Dan raised his arm to wave.
"Yo! Ollie!" Dan cried and Chaz snapped his neck in Dan's direction. I weakly smiled and stayed where I was.
"You don't call her Ollie." Chaz stated with an irked tone.
"Why not?" Dan raised his eyebrows at annoyed-Chaz.
"You just don't. Would you like if I called that Samantha girl of yours Sammy?" Chaz raised his eyebrows back. I bit my lips to stop myself from grinning again. That's what it took to bring my confidence back. A small statement from Chaz.
"That's different, Samantha's like my flavor of the month, y'know?" Dan guffawed and Chaz rolled his eyes.
"Ollie's not my flavor of the month though." Chaz glanced at me with a smirk, exposing one dimple. I bit my lips harder to contain my smile.
"What's going on in here?" Brittney deliberately shot her head in my direction quickly so that her hair jumped back to the front. She then flicked it behind her shoulder gracefully, basically glaring at me.
"Come here." Chaz patted the spot next to him on the sofa and I slowly walked there. When I sat down, Chaz put an arm around my shoulder and I shivered at his touch. I felt like there was a weird literal weight on my shoulders, not that it bothered me that way, but Chaz's touch always set me off guard.
I was glad we didn't take a step back. Each time Chaz and I kissed or got closer, we pulled away further than where we were at first. Everyone was right. Now that Matt wasn't in the picture, everything was simpler. Or I thought it was.
After a couple of minutes, I didn't pay much attention to Chaz's arm around my shoulder. I subconsciously leaned on him, and when I realized that my head was on his shoulder, it was too late to go back. Brittney slumped on the arm of the sofa next to Dan, clearly vexed.
