Chaz was standing there will a yellow hoodie and a wide smirk.
"Chaz." I said in a shaky voice.
"I believe in you. You're too great anyways, you're supposed to be the most excited one." His dimples flashed at me.
I got closer to him and didn't regret my next move. I snaked my arms around his torso and rested my head on his chest. He was sure as hell shocked, but he soon held me back. I was starting to feel less nervous, hearing his steady heartbeat in my ear. His strong arms were holding me tight and I closed my eyes to cherish the moment.
"You know, I'm number 8 too in my team." He laughed softly.
"Yeah." I smiled. It was a great coincidence.
"I think you need to go now." He whispered and I raised my head from his chest, looking up at him. I somehow felt way less nervous.
"Thank you, Chaz." I smiled gratefully before I pulled away. He gave me his adorable little smile and nodded before I ran outside with the rest of the team. It was unbelievable to think that only today in class he was the most annoying human being to ever exist.
The crowd went crazy when we rushed outside. Adrenaline was pumping inside of me as the fresh air hit my face. I scanned the yellow crowd for any familiar faces, and grinned when I saw Taylor cheering for us. Jay was smiling at me next to her and so was Dan. My heart warmed and I started to feel confident.
Soon after, the opposite team rushed out in gray uniforms and their side started to cheer like crazy. I didn't care. My closest friends were here for me and my team was more than enough.
When everyone started to get to their positions, I jogged to the front left, since I was the left attacker. I totally knew how good my skills were and Chaz's confidence boost helped me a lot.
We got to start the match. Sasha, from the middle passed the ball to me. I did my famous dribbling and shot the ball to Wendy. She went forward pretty quickly and passed it back to Sasha, who tried to score, but the ball was snatched from her. We were already controlling the game and only a minute passed.
When a girl came in front of me and tried to process a trick, I slid and snatched the ball. (Thanks to Chaz, he taught me the slide.) I heard cheers as I dribbled the ball back to their side as quickly as possible and attempted to shoot, making the crowd go wilder, but it was too high.
Their goal keeper got the ball and passed it to a teammate, but I quickly got in the way and shot the ball mindlessly towards the goal post. It was going very quickly, and my heart beat was going even quicker. When it slid past the goal-keeper's gloves and scored, I screamed.
"Hell yes!" I screamed as my teammates ran around cheering and abusing me with violent hugs. I smiled even wider when I saw the look on Chaz's face. He laughed when he saw me looking at him and I laughed too.
The HOP (Hounds Of Power) took the ball to the middle and started the game quickly. Jenny snatched the ball and shot it to their side. Sasha caught it in a low head and went forward. She passed the ball to me when I jogged to her range. I changed my direction when I saw two angry defenders coming my way. I shot the ball to Sasha, and she succeeded in the second goal!
I started screaming all over again. We were controlling the game and I got more excited than ever.
"Great shot, Sasha!" I yelled and she shot me a smile.
The angry gray team took the ball to the middle, again. They started the game and were more violent than ever. Their leader shot the ball to a girl that took it quickly and ran towards our net. I started to get nervous and was arguing with myself if I should chase her or not, but I remembered Chaz's words and didn't.
