OliviaMy heart fell to my feet when the familiar glares pierced though me.
"Go to the car." Dad's cold tone made me shiver.
"We were going to go to the-" Taylor tried to talk but mom cut her off.
"Taylor, this is about Olivia." My mom said.
"Don't worry." She added with a fake smile as she gripped my wrist and pulled me to the front door. My eyes were watering in embarrassment.
"It's okay, Tay. I'll contact you." I said in a shaky voice as I got in the car. -more like pushed in the car. I felt like I was getting arrested.
My dad started the engine very quickly and doze off. When we were away from Taylor's home, my parents started their interrogation session.
"Where the hell were you?" Dad yelled, sending shivers throughout my body.
I didn't reply.
"You couldn't fool me." He yelled again and I tightly closed my eyes and inhaled deeply.
"Wait till we're home, Steve." My mom raised her voice and I was almost going to cry. Things changed so much after their San Francisco trip.
Everything was going around me in spirals and I felt like I was in a stranger's car, getting kidnapped. All I wanted was to go home and rest in my room, but the fact that we were going home and that I wasn't excited for it made me feel homeless. When we finally got to the house, my dad angrily opened my car door and I got out, avoiding eye contact.
When I got inside, dad slammed the door and faced me. My eyes were on the floor and eventhough I wasn't crying, my heart was weeping badly.
"Remove your coat." He said firmly.
"But-" My eyes widened at the hardwood floor and my heart beat stopped. What's the worst thing that could happen? Probably be slaughtered then burned then six feet under.
"Do as I say!" He raised his voice. This was hopeless, I slowly removed it, exposing my yellow football uniform. My mom's eyes widened and she placed a hand over her mouth in shock. They were acting as if I was wearing stripper clothes!
"Why?" Dad raised his eyebrows angrily.
"Dad. It's just football." Tears threatened to fall.
"Football? What did we say? You were lying for so long Olivia! So, so long!" He yelled.
"It's just a sport! You guys are too strict!" I screamed as a tear fell. I never thought I would get a chance to say that.
"We gave you everything! Now you embarrass us with our family name on your shirt?" He screamed.
"Why can't I play football? I don't understand. You all are so sexist!" I muttered the last part, but they still heard it.
"What did you call me?" He gritted his teeth and I closed my eyes. Big. mistake.
"You're sexist. Football isn't just for boys. Nothing is bad about it." I said calmly, but that only poured fuel in the fire.
"You know, Agatha. This child was meant to be a boy. I mean it." He said slowly, gritting his teeth. I opened my eyes that were now clouded with tears.
"Not just football! Everything you do is meant for a guy to do! You never want to act like a girl. You are disgrace." He gritted his teeth and more tears rolled down my cheeks like a windshield in the middle of a thunderstorm that can't be cleared.
"Golden Eagles?" He squinted at my shirt. "Don't tell me you're in a team."
Fear was rushing through my veins instead of blood. I knew they were going to know sooner or later, so I decided to be honest.
