For what seemed like the next ten years, I didn't see Chaz. It was a few days though, and my birthday was in a few days, on the same day as the last exam. I'll finally be 18 and my parents might believe that I'll be a bit more responsible for my own life and that they wouldn't have to choose things or paths for me.

I'd finish college, work in my dad's company then definitely take over it when he retires. It would be an easy life, and I'm extremely thankful for that.

"So, what for your birthday?" Taylor asked as she munched on some chips on my bed.

"I don't know." I shrugged. "Movies?"

"Come on, woman. Something more fun."

"Getting drunk?" I asked sarcastically, rolling my eyes.

"Maybe."

"Dude." I rolled my eyes again.

"How about like.. a party? Going to a restaurant maybe? Inviting everyone here?" She suggested as she grabbed her phone and opened Google.

"Oh?" I raised my eyebrows and leaned back.

"Seriously, the 18th birthday is a big thing." She smiled in excitement as she typed something on her phone. I didn't reply to that.

"Here, this restaurant is crazy good. I've been there with my parents once and it was crazy, I promise. They have dance floors and party halls." Her green eyes lit up as she babbled with excitement.

"It's probably for like 7 million an hour." I muttered.

"Your parents can afford it, plus no." She rolled her eyes. True, my parents were rich. I never felt like that though. I didn't like being extra nor having expensive, new things. Probably same thing with my parents.

"Fine, see. At my house." I huffed.

"That could work too." She smiled. I knew that I had to beg my parents first.

"Anyways, let's write the invitation list." She opened notes on her phone.

"We still have some more days. We have exams tomorrow. Lets worry about that."

"Oh shut up, we'll pass them anyways."

"Still." I insisted.

"Okay, you're inviting me, Jay, Dan, Matt and Chaz, right?" She asked, ignoring me.

"I'm not inviting Chaz." I said quickly.

"What do you mean?" She narrowed her eyes and wrinkled her nose, looking at me.

"I'm not." I shook my head.

"Why?" She said, opening her mouth widely.

I didn't know why. Maybe because we weren't on amazing terms? Maybe because he makes me want to kiss him each time I see him? Maybe because he wasn't friends with Matt? Oh right, I'm the one who broke their friendship. If I weren't there, Matt and Chaz would have still been friends. Why do I have to mess up everything?

"He hates Matt." I huffed.

"Who cares? It's your birthday, not Matt's. Plus, It'll be your chance to make up with your crush." She winked and I groaned.

Chaz started off as just a crush that I admired from far away, because.. who didn't? Then someone I wanted to forget, then someone I actually liked and now someone I wanted and still couldn't get.

"You do the inviting and all, it's too much for me." I lied down and closed my eyes.

"Don't blame me when I invite both of your loves." I heard her chuckle.
