OliviaThe vacation went by smoothly. Chaz and I got closer than ever. I moved back to my house two days before my parents arrived back from San Francisco. I saw Chaz at least four times a week using the excuse of 'It's the vacation'. My parents asked many questions about Hawaii and I answered most of them honestly. They still didn't know about Chaz.
I had to start college after the next day. Blue Kingston University (BKU) already contacted me four weeks before. I had to move two cities away, and I was fine with that. Only that I was vexed about Chaz not going to the same university as me. His mother basically forced him to attend a private college, which was somewhat close to mine. That meant we would meet about once a week. Chaz was so smart. He got the highest final mark in our grade. It was such a shame that his mother didn't allow him to attend a university as good as BKU.
One of the reasons I wanted this college though, was that it was one of the few ones across the country that took football, as in soccer seriously. They had two official teams, one for girls too. Chaz would've loved this.
I was both excited and nervous. I was finally going to college, after all of these years of high grades and crazy hustling. It sucked to know that Chaz and I were going to be away from each other, but I was relieved to leave Kendall, her minions and all the drama of Brittney and Sera behind.
Taylor was very excited about going to the same college as Jay. It felt cool to study in the same area as your closest friends, but I needed Chaz too.
Everything packed, I descended the stairs to find my parents waiting for me. "Excited?" My mother asked.
"Yeah." I shrugged. I wanted to ride with Chaz, to spend as much time with him as possible, but what was I going to say to my parents?
"We got you stuff, let's go." My dad said and spun my car keys in his hand.
The ride there was utterly long. I was listening to music and staring out of the window the majority of the time, watching how themes changed as we passed some towns. When we finally got closer to the school, modern buildings and tall skyscrapers filled my sight. The sky was clear with a glint of cool sunshine in between the horizon. My nerves started kicking in. From what I've seen on google, and from the interviews I've done in random offices across the city, everything was supposed to be serious and formal.
When I saw huge blue banners, with the logo of the university and the name, I smiled widely.
"We're here." Dad said.
I tried to look in the distance. The brobdingnagian foundation started appearing. It was huge. My high school was a pebble compared to this, and trust me, my high school wasn't small either. BKU was a giant white and blue irregular structure, with different flat, or triangular peaks. It looked amazing, with a long line of blue glass across every floor. Three words were written in a clear, luminous font by the top. Blue Kingston University. I grinned at how great it looked like. It was going to take forever to know where my rooms were.
My father passed by its side, which took a long time to cross due to how big it was. Two identical wide buildings with the same theme were displayed across from each other. I guessed they were the dorms. Between them was a ridiculously large green land. It was so big that I thought it would fit for everyone to stand there. My father went behind the girls' dorms to their parking lot, where hundreds, if not thousands of lots were. I could tell my father was impressed with how he quietly hummed. Most of the lots were empty. My dad took the closest one and we all got out of my car.
