*one month later*
I am now 2 months old. I was having fun with my sisters. I had gotten a tiny bit bigger, but I was always smaller than Holly and Brownie. On the bright side I was much fluffier. I almost looked like a cloud. Holly joked around calling me Cloudy, but I didn't mind. We were playing our favorite game: hide and seek. I hid under the bed curling up into a ball. "Ready or not here I come!" came Brownie's voice.
I kept quiet as she came my way. I then saw here turn around and go back. I gave a silent giggle. I smelled Katie cooking dinner and tried to resist coming out from my hiding spot. Whatever it was smelled very good. I stopped myself from moving and just stared in the direction of the kitchen. I heard giggling near me. I turned around to see Holly. I jumped a bit hitting my head on the bed. "Ow! Holly? What are you doing? You're gonna get us both caught," I whispered. "We can move around you know," she giggled.
"Danny. Makayla. Dinner time!" I heard Katie call. Holly giggled. "Shh!" I said as I saw Brownie come back. This time we were not so lucky. She looked under the bed. "Oh here you are," she said as she looked at us. I crawled out from under the bed soon followed by Holly. "Who's gonna count next? You found us both at once," asked Holly. "How about Avery count next." "Fine with me."
We were about to start the next round when Katie called us to dinner. "Bet I can beat you to the kitchen!" I said wagging my tail. "Last one there is a rotten egg," Holly giggled. I ran to my food bowl as fast as I could. "What took you so long, rotten eggs," I said laughing. "Aw he beat us again," Holly said pouting. "He's always been quite the speedy one, so you know he was bound to beat us anyways," Brownie said looking at Holly. We ate quickly hoping to play more hide and seek.
"Ok hide you guys," I barked. I turned away and counted to 20 before turning back to see them gone. I smirked. "I'll find you. Hehe!" I ran around checking all of the books and crannies. "Having fun?" My mother asked. "Yep! We're playing hide and seek!" "I can see that. You guys better wrap it up. You're gonna play outside for a few minutes before you go to bed." "Ok."
We finished the second round of hide and seek and ran to the door. "Would you guys like to see the new doggy door I installed?" Katie said to us. I barked. Katie lifted up a flap on the door. I walked forward and sniffed it going through. Holly and Brownie followed me.
We messed around and rolled around in the dirt. I laughed chasing Holly and Brownie across the yard. It was fun watching the breeze blow through my fur. We kept playing for another hour. That's when I noticed a strange-looking figure on the small hill looking at us. Or not us but rather me. I looked back and yelped. It was a wolf. And he was huge. He just stood there smirking at me with a look on his face that seemed to say: "I will get you someday." I whined. "What's wrong?" Holly asked. "Wolf!" I screamed. Holly and Brownie took one look and ran back in the house. I looked back again hearing the wolf snicker and walk off. Why would he look at me? And snicker? I'm not sure I even want to know, but I can only be sure that he was very strange-looking. I went back in the house looking back at the backyard. I now dreaded going anywhere outside the fence. I'm afraid that wolf might get me.......
