"Can I ask you something?" Night said to me. "Sure." I said curiously looking up at him. "We've been together for quite some time, and I was wondering..." I wagged my tail a bit. "Yeah?" "I was wondering....do you wanna be my mate?" My face turned red. "Your what?" "My mate," he said smiling and looking down at me. I yipped and wagged my tail. "AWWW TEDDY BEAR OF COURSE I DO!" I said nuzzling my head under his chin. Night smiled and looked me in the eyes again.
I looked back at him my eyes twinkling. He then kissed me. I kissed him back. I giggled as Night pulled away. I thought of my dad. What would he say when he finds out? I hope he approves. But I don't think he'll mind though. He's a nice person, or dog. I hoped this would put an end to me being raped by a bunch of delinquents. They see Dad or Night and they run away.
Night followed me back to the den. "Dad guess what?" "Yes Son?" he asked. "Me and Night are mates!" Mac seemed elated. "Are you now?" "Spent some more time together, and I decided to ask him to be my mate. It was at our favorite spot: the couch in the hilltop," Night clarified. "Well congratulations!" Dad smiled.
So Dad approved. Which was good. He knew Night was gonna protect me. I trusted him. And I loved him so much. I smiled. Night nuzzled me. I giggled. "If anybody messes with you they'll have me to answer to," he said to me. "And me," Dad added in. I laughed. Today was very special for me. And it was very precious. I can't believe Night actually popped the question. I kinda had an idea what he was gonna ask me, but I wasn't fully sure what he was gonna ask. I'm glad I have someone besides my dad to spend my life with. It filled my heart with so much happiness. Oh. There it goes again. I felt my heart skip a beat. I smiled laying my head on Night's shoulder.
