Chapter 28: Super Bean

                [Avery's Story]
     I was playing around outside. I giggled at a butterfly landing on my nose and wagged my tail. It wasn't too hot out. It was actually pretty cool. I watched as the butterfly flew away and nipped after it. I then looked over and saw my Uncle Roddy and my Uncle Rabby walking down the street.
    "Uncle Roddy! Uncle Rabby!" I barked, wagging my tail. "Hey Avery," they said, walking over. Night walked out. "Who the hell are you?" he snarls. "Hey man. Chill. I'm Rod and this is Rab," Roddy said. "They're my uncles," I said, wagging my tail again. "Avery shut it," Night growled. I whined, pinning my ears back, looking hurt.
     "Avery I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. I don't care who the fuck they are to you because they're intruding, and Mac isn't even your dad, and you call him dad." "Well yeah. He took me in when I was 5 months old and raised me after my parents died in a house fire," I said, sniffling. Night then growled and ran off. I followed, sniffling.
     I hid as I saw another figure up ahead. The figure looked a lot like Night, and I'm guessing he was his father. "I see my handsome baby had returned," he growled lunging at Night. But before he could tackle Night, I jumped out from my hiding spot and tackled him first. "LEAVE MY TEDDY BEAR ALONE!" I said as I bit his ear, growling.
     Night's father growled. I then bit his ear, tearing a bit off and then biting his leg. He then growled, biting my skull, crushing it. I yelped and collapsed onto the ground, blood pouring from my head. "A-Ave's?" Night whined nudging me. I coughed up blood. "I...wanted to protect you...Goodbye Teddy Bear... I love you..." I said, falling limp.
    
                [Night's POV]
     I whined as Avery fell limp. "No. No. No. No. No. No. Don't leave me, Fluffers!" I curled up around Avery's body and nuzzled my snout into Avery's fur, crying. He remained limp. My face became wet with tears. Suddenly, I heard whimpering and felt something wet on my face.
     I looked up. Avery was alive?! "F-Fluffers?" "Yeah," he said as he giggled and wagged his tail. "Yes. Let's get some molk." "Yay!" Avery wagged his tail again. I smiled as we went off.
