Chapter 30: A Long-Awaited Reunion

                   [Avery's POV]
     It's been a long time. I laid on a cliff overlooking my old house which they still haven't rebuilt since it burnt down in the fire. I went down and sniffed the remains of the house. I remembered my mom and dad and Katie and Thomas who had all died in the fire. I whined. I went on down to the neighborhood of Grant's Glen and came across a big red house. I curiously went closer.
     I put my paws onto the window. There were people in there. A boy and a girl, and they had 2 dogs with them. They looked strangely familiar. The two people, whom I'm guessing must be teenagers, looked like Danny and Makayla, but could it possibly be them? I'm Nott sure. And their 2 dogs were Samoyeds just like me. I wagged my tail. I don't think they noticed me yet.
     I whined and then jumped off the window. They looked over just in time to see me walk off. Dad will be wanting me home soon. As I walked back to the trailer, I thought to myself. 'It could be Danny and Makayla. And could those 2 Samoyeds be my sisters Holly and Brownie?' I wagged my tail at the thought.
     I walked into the trailer. I looked at them all in the trailer. "Welcome back, Son," Dad said. "Hey Dad." Night came over and nuzzled me. "You seem upset about something," Dad said. "I was in Grant's Glen, and I stopped by my old house which was still in ruins, and then I went up to this big red house, and I saw 2 teenagers and 2 dogs who looked strangely familiar."
     I whined again. Night curled up around me. I snuggled close to him. I kept thinking if it could've been Danny, Makayla, and Holly and Brownie. Cause they looked exactly as I remembered back before the house burnt down.

                *the next day*

     I was out with everyone else. They had all wanted to come along for a walk. I walked back to Grant's Glen and looked at the ruined house. I held my ears back. Strays stayed away from us. One stray even came over. He was quickly apprehended by Amycus. "Come one step closer, and I'll rip your throat out," he threatened. We all started to call Amycus Ripper because his preferred method of killing was ripping your throat out. He didn't mind though.
     I then made my way to the big red house I had mentioned back at the trailer. I put my paws up on the window again, and sure enough they were in there. I smiled and started to wag my tail again. I whined quite loudly. I saw the boy go over and open the door. He looked at me. I looked at him. He then leaned down and put a hand under my chin. "Avery?"
     I whined and barked, my voice cracking a bit as I wagged my tail. Danny hugged me. Night growled. "Teddy Bear it's ok." Makayla soon came out. "Danny where did you find him?" She went over and hugged me. The 2 Samoyeds came out. "Avery!" they said going over as Danny and Makayla released me.
     "Holly? Brownie? It is you!" I wagged my tail. I introduced them to Amycus and the others. "You don't know how much we missed you," Holly said. "We couldn't play hide and seek. It didn't feel right playing without you," said Brownie. I remembered us playing hide and seek when we were pups. I started to cry.
     "I miss our favorite game," I sniffled. I looked back at Amycus and the others and then back at Danny and Makayla and Holly and Brownie. It then sunk in. I was gonna have to make a choice. I held my ears back. Cause now I have to make the hard decision and ask myself: Do I wanna stay with Night and Amycus and the other Death Eaters?...or...Do I go with Danny, Makayla, and Holly and Brownie?.........
