Y/n was surprised by Sammy's action earlier. It was shocking, but extremely comforting. It was nice to know that he didn't hate her. Now the problem was convincing him that she didn't hate him.
Joey came over the intercom. "Hello my wonderful artist! We have a few new improvements that need to be talked about, and we have a new member joining our team!"
"I feel bad for whoever that is." she said with a slight sigh.
"I know right.. "
"Hey you better not be depressed again." y/n poked his cheek making him smile a little.
"I'm fine my lovely sheep. "
"You sure 'bout that?"
He nodded, and laid his head in the crook of her neck.
"I'm just tired.."
"Well don't fall asleep on me 'cause we gotta go to that meeting. "
"That's lame. "
They went upstairs to the small meeting room. Wally and Thomas were throwing darts, while Allison and Lacie mad bets on who'd hit a bullseye first. The whole way there, and even after they sat down, y/n had her pinky intertwined with Sammy's.
"Look at that, couple of the year coming through. " Susie whispered to Norman.
"I would have thought she'd hate him after yesterday."
"I know. I thought I was about to have to cut his dick off after that.. But she seemed so sure of herself that it was an accident. I wish someone loved me that much."
"Don't we all." he said, the both of them watching y/n and Sammy laughing at some joke.
"I wonder.."
"Hmm?" Norman seemed a bit concerned about her devilish grin. "You better not be planning anything."
"So what if I am? Think of it as a test. They've both been under a lot of stress, and one thing always leads to another.."
"Why don't you just leave them be. It's like you said, they've been really stressed lately."
"I suppose you're right.. An angel has to keep her composure to maintain a 'good' reputation... That's it!"
Norman sighed as Susie ran up to Allison.
They talked about something, but no one really bothered to care anymore.
Joey popped into the doorway, which quickly grabbed everyone's attention.
"Thank you all for showing up! Today is a grand day that will hold a big change on how things are gonna run around here! We will be opening an amusement park! Isn't that exiting? It's gonna be called Bendy Land! That's where this handsome fellow will step in." Joey moved aside and a man in a fancy suit stepped out from a curtain.
"Good afternoon! My name is Bertrum, and I will be the one constructing this theme park. I have a very skilled team that will make it all possible. This will be the best investment your company will ever make, I can assure you of it!"
"Yes it will be! Now I'm sure you'd all be happy to hear that if this park works out, which I'm sure it will, we'll be rich! Everyone will know the name Joey Drew, and your pay checks will be one hundred dollars a week!"
Everyone gasped and whispered.
"Tsk, like this park will even work. We're more likely to go bankrupt."
"Now now, Susie. I know you're not happy with me because I'm replacing you with Allison and-"
"WAIT! You said she was a possibility not a full replacement! You fuckin lier!"
"Sorry babe, but that's just business." She ran out of the room in furious tears. Both y/n and Allison went after her.
"Hey you okay darlin?"
"No! You fucking ruined my life!"
"Hey you know it's not her fault!"
"I don't even want the part.. But if I leave he'll just find someone else. You know that as well as I do that he'll just try to make you jealous. I don't know why, but you can just tell that's what he wants."
"I know.. I just feel like Alice is a part of me.. And I don't want to lose that part.. "
Allison and y/n gathered around Susie and hugged her.
"Don't worry, I won't let him replace you with me, okay?"
She smiled at the other two girls. "Thanks I guess."
Not many people stayed in the meeting, they thought the whole theme park was stupid, and would have rather got their actual work done. But the ones who did stay, walked out of the meeting, a slight fear in their eyes.
"Hey Sammy, did he say anything actually useful in the last half of the meeting?"
"You three come with me, I don't wanna risk him hearing us talk about it."
On the way they passed Wally who missed the entire meeting, so Sammy pulled him into the office too.
Once they were inside, Sammy looked at them, and they could all see, and feel his concern.
"He was talking about making people into the cartoons.. He wanted the people in his park to actually experience what it's like to 'shake hands with the real Bendy' not just a cartoon or someone in a costume.. It was a bit disturbing how detailed it was.. Almost like he's been planning this for a while. He also said it was the true potential of the 'Ink Machine',  whatever the hell that is. "
"You don't think that's what all these ink pipes are for, do ya?" Wally asked.
"Don't know.. "
"Man this just gives me chills. Imagine him turning us all into inky real life cartoons.."
Y/n suddenly remembered her nightmares.
"Can I talk to you guys about something?"
They all looked at y/n. "Of course little sheep, say what ever you'd like." he said with a kind, reassuring, smile.
"Well this is going to sound completely stupid, but I've been having these weird dreams.. Like Susie was a humanified Alice, and Sammy was still himself, but as an ink person. It's really weird, but they all feel so real, and it really sounds like what Joey's talking about."
"So you think he's gonna actually experiment on us?" Wally gasped in horror.
"That makes perfect since! Susie remember how earlier I said that it seemed like Joey wanted you to be jealous, but we don't know why, right?"
"What are you getting at Ally?"
"Think about it. If y/n's dreams were foreshadowing something, then what if he made you so desperate that you'd do anything for the part, even being turned into an inky you-Alice-thing."
"That's insanity! Do you even hear yourself talking? I'm gonna be turned into Alice? It doesn't even sound that bad, but still it's unnerving."
"Wait so are you agreeing or disagreeing with me?"
"I don't even know!"
"Well let me add in the fact that it was a deformed Alice in my dreams."
"Oh.. So I guess that means I was the guinea pig. Nice to know your subconscious thinks I'm being used too."
"Susie I didn't mean it like-"
"I know, I know.. I'm just trying to lighten the mood."
They all stared at the floor.
"So what now?"
They glanced at eachother for a brief second.
"Well, " Sammy jumped in, "I say we wait things out. It seems like everyone's just being paranoid. Now it would suck if we all quit, just to be wrong about all this. As long as I'm gettin' paid, I'm staying."
"Well, there was a small bit of advice Henry gave me.. Always trust your gut, for it will tell you when you're in danger and if you'll be fine. Never trust your head because it will take control of you and you'll start believing all the lies, and never trust your heart because it will lead you blindly astray."
"Wow.. That's deep.." Sammy said as he walked over to the side of the room she was on and wrapped his pinky around hers like they did earlier.
"So you think we should stay until he starts actually turning us into living cartoons."
"Not exactly.. "
"Well what am I supposed to think? Joey's gonna make us go bankrupt, we'll all be out of a job, and possibly dead."
"Susie's right, we all know if Bendy fails, Joey's gonna drag us all down with him.. I mean I've been scared that one day the stock markets gonna crash and Joey will blow this place up."
They all nodded in agreement to what Allison said.
"Especially now.. I still can't believe Henry's gone."
"Wait, what?!"
"You didn't hear y/n?"
She shook her head.
"Henry and Joey got in a fight, and he quit. I wonder if it had anything to do with what he was talking about today."
"Imagine if he came back and there's a whole theme park around the place!"
"Come on Wally, we all know by the time he comes back the studio will be gone. No way he can afford a stupid park!"
No one knew what to make of the situation with their boss. It's not like they could do much. Sammy was mainly relieved to know what the dreams y/n were having weren't completely about him. He knew she wasn't telling the whole dream, but something is better than nothing.
It seemed like the meeting was the talk of everyone, many theories were shared, some were weirder than others, but nothing like the whole ink people thing. Little did they know the truth would be revealed sooner than anyone expected.
