Neither Sammy or y/n slept well that night. Everything was slowly falling apart, and y/n couldn't accept any of it. Flashes of happiness and laughter rang through her head. Anything she had that was good, had come to an end. The fear of losing Sammy next was what she was haunted by the most.

Y/n left for the old pub almost immediately after Sammy had went to his office. To her surprise, Wally was already there.
"You're here early." he greeted her.
"Same to you."
"Don't you have work to do?"
"Hell if I know.." she said with a sigh.
The pair stood leaned against the wall. "So did something happen between you and Sammy?"
"What makes you think that?"
"Well you're not spending time with him one, two something's different about you."
Y/n noticed the boy's cigar. "Can I have a puff of that?"
"Um, is that smart with the whole-"
"Just gimme."
Wally reluctantly obliged. She proceeded to take it and smoke a little bit.
"So what did happen?"
"Too much all at once."
"Sammy?"
"More than just him.."
"I know what ya mean.. I feel so lost right now. Everything I've known for the past five years is gone.."
"For me I just feel like everything is falling apart, and I'm so tired of being alive. I just found out that all my hope for the future is dead. I know that Sammy probably hates me now and it's just a matter of time before.." y/n had tears streaming down her face.
"So you and Sammy are in tough spot, huh?"
"I mean I guess. He just acts like I'm his last priority anymore, it's always about Joey's stupid songs!"
"I'm sorry.."
Y/n took a few more hits of the cig.
"What am I supposed to do after he leaves me.."
"I wish I knew. I 'bout died inside when you almost died. I couldn't stand losing the only other person left."
"We are the only ones left aren't we?"
"The others at the studio ain't dead, so not really."
"It doesn't matter. We're the only sane ones."
"True.."
They sat in silence for a while.
Wally felt better having someone to talk to, but y/n didn't know how to feel. Everything is dying slowly, and she couldn't handle it.

"Hey why the long face?"
"I'm just tired, Susie."
"Ya sure?"
"Yeah, so how's things with that Tom, Ally?"
"Yes Allison, how are things with y'all?"
"That's none of your business!"
The two laughed at her bright red face.
"So, y/n how are things with you and Mr. Lawrence?"
"Wha-what are you talking about?"
"Oh come on," Susie said, leaning on the piano. "I've know Sammy for years, I'd know when he likes someone."
"And I know how you look at him, darling!"

"Those were the days, huh toots."
Y/n looked over to Wally.
"How did you-"
"You were smiling like you were reliving one of ya favorite memories."
"It wasn't my favorite.. but it wasn't bad."
"Which time were you thinking of?"
"One of the really old days, when Allison and Susie just voiced minor characters and Alice wasn't really a thing."
"Even then Susie was as beautiful as an angel.."
"Yeah.. She was.."
"So what was your favorite memory from the studio?"
Y/n sat in thought for a moment. "The first time me and Sammy actually talked. It was so long ago, and with all that's happened, I had completely forgotten about it. There was one day I didn't feel like going back to my crappy old apartment, so I had stayed after trying to play this really complicated song. I guess Sammy was ease dropping the whole time or something like that, but it had turned out we had the same favorite song or whatever. All that really happened was we sat there playing that song and a few others for hours on that old piano."
"I wish I could have had a moment like that with Susie.." Wally sighed.
"Did you two have any moments together?"
"Well, I used to break up fights between her and Allison if that counts."
Y/n laughed at that. "You mean you tried  to break up fights between them, and failed miserably. I still remember that one day we were recording and that fight broke out. When I walked out and saw that bucket on your head, I thought I was gonna die laughing, but I kinda didn't because Sammy looked like he was about to kill you."
"Oh golly, I thought he would! Ya know what's even worse?"
"What?"
"The water in that bucket was the the water I had just used to mop the bathroom!"
Y/n bust out laughing, and Wally joined her. "Wasn't that the same night that.." he started but trailed off.
"Oh yeah.. I forgot about that too.." she said feeling the past moment's joy fading.
"So how did you two work that out? I know Susie and well, pretty much everyone was ready to give him hell over that."
"I didn't really care when that all went down, but I was a little shocked."
"You're lucky he didn't put a hole in ya head like all the walls."
"You're tellin' me. I thought there wouldn't be a studio left with the pissed Sammy."
They had lightened the mood again, and continued to talk about the good ole' days. Little did either know the hell that was unfolding at the studio.
