Y/n woke to Sammy shaking her gently.
"Come on little sheep it's seven."
She tiredly looked up at him and could see bags under his eyes.
"You didn't sleep at all last night, did you?"
"I feel asleep at the piano."
"No you didn't.. I know you too well to fall for a stupid lie like that."
He sighed and walked out of the room.
"What the hell did Joey tell him yesterday? If only Susie had been ease dropping again.."
She got out of the warm bed and shivered at the colder air.
"If he stayed up all night, you'd at least think he'd fire up the heater."
She wrapped a blanket around her and went into the kitchen.
Sammy was sitting at the small table, a steaming cup of coffee in his hands. He was already dressed and his hair was already slicked back.
Y/n didn't bother to say anything, but she did put her arms around him.
"I love you, my little sheep.." he muttered.
"I love you more." she said kissing his head.
A small smile appeared on his face.

Susie had come to pick them up as usual, and her and Wally cast a few worried looks back at Sammy on the way to the studio.
"Hey y/n," Susie said pulling her aside, "what's up with grumps over there?"
"He stayed up all night doing work and stuff. I told him not to, but my opinion obviously doesn't matter.."
Susie pulled her into a hug. "Men can be so stubborn sometimes."
Wally rolled his eyes, but looked back into the office window where Sammy sat surrounded by music scores. "Man, I hope he don't overwork himself. It'd be a shame to lose such a valued employee.. I bet Joey wouldn't ever say that to us."
"Well Joey did tell me I had the most beautiful voice! He's quiet the charmer ya know! Sure he's lacking in looks, but he sure makes up for it in money. That's the one way to a girls heart."
"Not all girls." y/n said, arms crossed.
"Well then what do you see in Sammy?"
"A kind heart, beautiful eyes, I also love his skills with music. And his hair is so soft!"
"He actually let you touch his hair!?"
"Yeah?"
"He also loves hugs. I didn't say that by the way."
Wally starred blankly at the two girls but couldn't help butting in.
"I wish the girl I liked would hug me."
"Aww.. There there little buddy." Susie said pulling him close to her and wrapping her arms around him.
Y/n smirked at the bright red Wally.
"Susie Campbell,"
The three turned to see none other than Joey Drew.
"Mornin' Mr.Drew!" Wally said attempting to tilt his hat but Susie had his arms trapped to tight.
"Oh um.. Hi janitor boy.. Now Susie! I hate to tell ya, but your recent performances haven't been up to my expectations.. I've decided to relieve you of playing Alice."
She stood there speechless, still holding the immobilized Wally.
Allison slowly walked in, and Susie shoved Wally away from her.
"You! Your replacing me with her!"
No one responded, but Allison cowered back a little. "Sorry.."
Susie pushed past them and ran outside. Y/n and Wally quickly followed her.
"Susie-"
"Leave me alone!"
Wally and y/n both wrapped their arms around the wailing mess named Susie..

They sat outside behind the shining blue Sunbeam for about an hour, until she finally calmed a bit.
"I can't believe he has the nerve.. crushing someone's dreams like they're nothing."
"So what kind of dreams does a janitor have anyways?"
"You don't need to sound so cold. I understand you're upset but don't yell at him."
Susie let out a long sigh. "I need a drink. You two wanna skip work and go get a couple beers?"
"You do realize alcohol is illegal, right?"
"Oh yeah.. prohibition.. Why are these idiots trying to get rid if alcohol anyways? It's better for ya than smokin'."
"I actually know a place we could go, but it's a bit expensive."
The two girls looked at him in confusion and interest.
"Alright. I'm listening."
"Susie, is this really a great idea?"
"It'll be fine. A little drink never killed anyone."
"Well then why is it illegal?!"
"Are you coming or not?"
"... fine."
They got into the car and Susie looked over at y/n.
"Ya sure you don't want Sammy to come?"
"He's probably busy."
"Yeah but you should still tell him your leaving."
She sighed and ran back inside the old studio.
She quickly made her way down the stair, tripped, and found herself falling into someone's arms.
"Well hello, lovely. Where are you off to in such a hurry?"
"Bertrum, I don't have time for this. I'm really busy and if you leave me alone I might go on a date with you someday."
He jumped back, letting her continue her way to Sammy's office.
"A date she says.. I knew she'd admit her feelings eventually!"
"The heck are you talking about?" Lacie questioned.
He starred at her, his face a pink tint.
"Right.. Well I've got a report for you from the supplier. It seems there's a minor problem with gettin' any supplies because of an increasing price. We could switch companies like last time, but it appears steel everywhere has gone up tremendously in price. We have two options. Keep building and put ourselves in possible bankruptcy, or stop our operations all together."
"We need to consult Mr. Drew about it immediately."

"Hey Sammy I don't mean to bother you but I'm gonna go out with Susie. If we get back late I'll just have her drop me off at the house, is that okay with you?"
"Just be careful."
"Okay! Love ya!"
"Love you too, little sheep.. "
Y/n left his office and was a bit saddened by the dullness in his voice. "I wonder what's bugging him.. If only he wasn't so busy he could come with us."
She ran up the stairs and back outside where Susie and Wally talked.
"Alright I'm ready!"
"About time.." Susie muttered still agitated.
Wally and y/n were both anxious and excited about going to the secret bar, and Susie was just happy to forget about today.
