Lost in time G.D E.D

Part 20

April 8th Today is monday, it's Ethan and Grayson's little judgement day.

I woke up before my alarm and got ready early. Me and Patrick drove to school with his friend Trevor and we went through 1st hour gym like normal. 

Pay  and I walk to the theatre and find Gray, James, and Zack waiting for us.

Grayson seems completely normal. Is this it? Did I convince them to live? Was it the tickets or did I genuinely effect them? 

"Hey Gray" I sit next to him and he moves closer.

We haven't talked since they went to prom on Saturday, after whatever he was doing before his mom interrupted.

"I missed you yesterday Liv, but we can hang out a little today. Me and E are busy tonight," 

They have plans? Maybe they'll end up normal after all. I wonder if I'll see them when I get home.

I wonder when I'll leave, maybe after the massacre was supposed to happen? 

I hope I wake up today so it will be my 18th birthday in real life. I didn't count either of the birthdays I experienced in this timeline.

I also didn't tell any of the guys the date of my birthday. 

"Well, anytime with you boys is a great time," I tease Grayson and ruffle his hair. 

Ms.Caruthers comes in and tells us we will be starting our final school project today. 

"We will be conducting a play the night before graduation, you all will audition for a part you want, anyone not casted will be on the crew, of course if you don't want to audition you can just be on the crew but it will cost you a letter grade," she explains. 

"Dammit," Patrick mutters next to me annoyed. 

"Relax," I elbow him. 

"The play is Romeo and Juliet, I think I already know who my Juliet is going to be," Ms.C smiles over at Tori.

My mother is sat next to her very pregnant, if I would have been born on time this would have been moms last week in school before maternity leave. 

I was due May 4th, but that changed of course. I rather have been born on the 4th, SOMEBODY ONCE TOLD ME THE WORLD WAS GONNA ROLL ME. 

"I guess I could try out for Juliet," I shrug. 

"Well looks like I'm trying for Romeo," Grayson  jokes. 

"No I will," James pouts. 

"I'll be Romeo," Patrick challenges. 

"I wanna be Marcutio," Zack jumps in and we all stare at him until he backs away. 

"Oh its so nice seeing my flunking students fight for the lead role," Ms.C jokes and the boys all give her a dirty look. 

"Auditions are held tomorrow, you have tonight to practise," she hands us each a sheet of paper by gender, obviously i get the girls, I look at Grays sheet. 

"Oh Romeo, oh Romeo," I tease him. 

"Hush," he pouts and stuffs the paper into his bag.

I hear James already reading the lines to himself. 

Ms.C dismisses us and I hug Grayson bye,

"See you in a bit," 

"Sucks you're not in video," Grayson pouts. 

"But I do get to bother E alone for an hour," I wink. 

"All of my friends are leaving me again," he pouts pointing at James and Patrick who I follow to Philosophy. 

"We go through this everyday," Patrick facepalms. 

"It hurts a little more everyday," Grayson says dramatically. 

"Baby," I tease and stick my tongue out before James grabs my hand and pulls me to class before we're late. 

I immediately tease Ethan about Amber and ask if he got laid. 

"Very funny," he flips me off. 

"Poor, poor Dolan," I giggle and take his hat.

If todays my last day with them I want to enjoy it.

I put his hat on backwards and grin at him. 

He glares a little but goes back to picking at his hand. 

"Awe boo," I tease him and poke his cheek.

He bats my hands away adorably until Mr.Kritzer comes in and quiets us down.

I relax with my head on Ethan's shoulder and do work quietly.

After school I ride in Grayson bronco 1999 as we follow Ethan car to there house.

They have a reservation for Outback Steakhouse at 6 so they're gonna drop me off at home after.

I don't feel any different. Maybe when I go to bed tonight I'll wake up in my body. 

I make the most out of my afternoon with Ethan and Grayson and watch them play Doom.

At 5:30 Grayson gets up and grabs his keys. I walk over to him and wrap my arms tight around his waist and look up at him. 

"Since I can't hug you guys in the car," I say sadly. Grayson hugs me back smiling and then pets my hair for a moment.

He sqeezes me one last time before letting go. I turn and wrap my arms tightly around Ethan  next. 

"We gotta go Liv," he hugs me tighter but lets go faster than Grayson did.

The three of us head to his car and ride to my apartment. It's going to be so hard moving there alone. 

"Bye boys, I love you both so much," I tell them urgently, I'm sure to them it's weird that I'm acting the way I am. 

"I love you Liv," Gray says sadly. 

"I love you too livvy," Ethan gives me one last sad smile.

I get out and watch the car pull away.

I take a deep breath and walk inside. 

I shut the curtains to make the room as dark as possible so I can go right to sleep and not dwell on the loss of the friends I've had for 2 years now. 

I see one of Grays shirts laying on the desk in my room and smile at it sadly.

Hopefully everything will be back to normal when I wake up.

April 9th  1999 

Good morning Longvalley, it is Tuesday, Apr- 

I shut off the alarm before it finishes. I sit up fast and look around,

"What the fuck? I stopped the shooting! I fucking won!"  I get up and haphazardly kick clothes around finding a clean outfit.

I'm not prepared for today,

I didn't do any homework. I shouldn't be here anymore!  I hear the familiar honking of Trevors car and look outside fast. Gotta go now.  If only I had checked the date...
