I wake up with my head on Phils chest and look up.
Birds chirp around us as the sun starts to rise leaving a grey dawn across the sky.
I see a little sunlight peaking through the trees around us. I look up at Phil and notice he's still sound asleep, his head leaning on his windshield.
We both smell like pizza grease since neither of us changed last night. I shiver remembering I only wore a hoodie last night and look at him in only a flannel.
A few snowflakes start to fall and I shake him awake before we both catch a cold. His eyes open slowly and he looks around at the same scene.
"Whoa, can't believe we fell asleep out here," he laughs.
"Come on before we get sick," I roll my eyes and slide off the hood.
"Imagine Bobs reaction if we both called off tonight," Phil laughs.
"Imagine Grayson's," I shake my head remembering his words from last night.
"Grayson doesn't scare me," he shrugs getting in and starting the car. We drive back to town but drive passed my apartment.
"Whats up?" I ask him looking over.
"I'm thinking we head to my place, get breakfast, chill before work," he drives. We're both scheduled 2 to close.
"I need to wash my clothes," I let him know.
"Me too, we can just wash them there," he shrugs.
"I don't have any other clothes," I point out.
"I do. If you want me to take you home just tell me but I can take care of everything at home," he looks over during a red light.
"If you're sure about this," I shrug.
"I've got your back," he smiles. We get to his house and head inside. He yawns stretching and turns on the kitchen light.
I awkwardly lean against the wall by the light switch. I watch him get into the fridge and look around.
"I'd offer you orange juice but I poured half a bottle of vodka in it," he laughs holding up a bottle of juice.
"Dammit Philly," I roll my eyes chuckling. I immediatly feel dumb for being awkward. I've known him for a little while now and we're never awkward at work so why should I start now?
"Fuck it, we got plenty of time before work," he gets out two shot glasses.
"Philllll, I'm 17, and you're only 20!" I remember all of a sudden. I did forget he's not 22 yet.
"Shh, our secret," he giggles and pours them. I walk over next to him where the shots are sitting on the counter.
"I've never drank before," I look at the glass curious.
"Well here we are," he smiles and drinks his. I reach for mine and drink it fast. He giggles at my face and I pout.
"Fuck off," I whine hitting his shoulder.
"C'mon thats enough experimentation for now, lets get our laundry done," he takes my hand and leads me down a hall to his bedroom. I look around at his slightly messy room. He has dirty clothes all over the floor, messy bed, a few gun cases just sitting open.
I look at pictures of his family on the wall. I find a picture of him and Mark too. Phil hands me a shirt and shorts,
"Give me whatever you want washed and I'll throw them in, I'll be in the kitchen," He walks out of his room and closes the door. I take off my shirt, jeans, and socks. My undergarments could be washed but I really don't think Phil wants that.
