6 months later

"I'm almost out of ammo." His voice was barely recognizable, the way he spat his words in a careless yet threatening manner.

I could see his shadowy figure wipe the blood oozing from his broken nose onto his white shirt.

"Maybe we should start knifing people," the other's voice replied from a little behind me. I sucked in my breath as the taller, dark shape brushed past me and smashed a chair into a computer, sending it crashing off a desk.

I felt my heart beat faster and heavier as the wails and cries of students below me pierced my ears, making my hands shake.

I closed my eyes tight, trying to block out the loud fire alarms and screams for mercy.

"Shut up!" Ethan yelled, sounding as though he were only mildly annoyed. He aimed his shotgun at two students under a table and fired. I watched with a terrible twisted stomach as the two girls' bodies vibrated backward from the explosion, both lying injured on the floor.

A giggle pierced my ear as I felt someone rush past me. I turned to see a tall fugue, firearm lowered, joining the taller figure's side.

They was energized to say the least.

There was absolutely no remorse. They gave a rather devious smile up at the tall shadow whom I realized to be Grayson.

My stomach churned even more.

I watched with fear as the figure grabbed Grayson's hand

"I will totally let you do me anywhere in the school right now," The figure purred, firing aimlessly at some bookshelves on her way out.

"Yeah?" He replied, simultaneously shooting at a table over his shoulder, the two disappearing out of the classroom doors.

Ethan was busy firing at what I assumed was police officers outside in the parking lot. The painful cries were all around me. Students looked up at me, terrified and hurt. Ironically, I felt the same.

"Ethan?" I called out in barely a whisper.

He didn't seem to hear, turning from the window and firing at the classroom tables, making kids jump and scream.

"Ethan," I said louder.

He froze and looked up at me from across the room. I gulped, as he still had his gun raised. His expression lightened when he saw it was me.

"What? You out of bullets?"

I couldn't speak. I couldn't think.

My heart pounding, I sank down to the floor, noticing the gun in my own hand and the blood on my shirt.

I sat with my knees pulled to my chest, tears stinging my eyes.

"Oh god, oh god," I kept repeating quietly.

"Liv," Ethan was above me suddenly, but we weren't in the classroom anymore. We were in the cafeteria. I looked around, frightened as the sprinklers and alarms were all going off loudly in this part of the school.
