Part 46

"Keep quiet," Grayson whispers as we creep into his dark house.

Ethan had a hard time letting us go. We parked outside and Ethan hugged me for a long time because he wasn't coming back for some reason

Could that have been Ethan telling me goodbye?

They don't know the bombs fail yet, they are allowing me to go to school knowing I could die in the explosion, do they really love me like they say they do?

We get into the basement and he locks the door. I sit in the chair he once killed me in and watch him as he turns his computer on.

I look around a little for his journal.

"At least we'll be together at midnight," I tease him.

"Maybe I can get a birthday kiss, or give you a spanking," he winks.

"Gray!" I push his shoulder a little as I get up and give him his chair back. I sit on the bed and he starts playing Mario.

My leg brushes the corner of a notebook between his mattress and boxspring, bingo!

Grayson starts telling me about his game maps while my hands itch to read his journal finally.

"If you want to play just ask," he offers.

LI'm okay," I let him know as I kick my shoes off and lean back watching him. Around 10 he gets up to go to the bathroom.

I take my chance and open the first page to his journal. The very first page talks about how much he hates America, but my name is already mentioned.

"Everyone has their own opinions on every damn thing and you may be saying "

"well what makes you any different?" because I have something only me, gray and Liv have SELF AWARENESS"

"I know I will die soon,so will you and everyone else"

This entry was from last April. He already knew what he was going to do.

He ends his first entry with the people he believes should die.

Besides the one mention of my name he never changed his opinion on the world. The only difference is he deems me worthy.

Two days later was the entry I already read about the van.

I turn the page and gasp seeing my parents names.

"It has been confirmed,after getting my yearbook and watching people like Jake Arch and Sammy Andrews the human race isnt worth fighting for, only worth killing. Give the earth back to the animals, they deserve it more indefinitely than we do"

He also criticises going to college and I see this is marked for May 9th. Jake pushed Grayson in the hall that day, and Sammy was mocking Ethan and I.

If they hadn't done either of those things their names wouldn't be here. It would be two different names or there wouldn't be an entry in the first place.

I hear Grayson's footsteps and I immediatly put the notebook back in its spot.

After Gray goes to sleep I'm going to try and dig it back out to read the rest. I think he had The plans inside it, if I can get inside plans I can try to infiltrate it.

"You seem lonely," he chuckles and lays next to me. I smile over at him and hug him.

"I love you Gray, you know that right?" I ask.

"I love you too Liv," he smiles.

"You mean the world to me and I never want to lose you,"

"You won't lose me," he holds me gentle.
