Me and Grayson wait by the doors to the commons for Ethan to show up. I'm worried this is all futile and will end the exact same way, shot.  But this time I'm going to do everything in my power to read their diaries. Maybe I can be with them the night before and somehow stop them before they leave in the morning.

I've only seen Ethan's diary once, when Grayson held it up to my face during my first timeline. All I saw was the van incident and that Ethan wants to kill Patrick and his family.

I know later on during the shooting he let Patrick go, I was with him one of those times.  April 9th, Timeline:18  Me and Patrick left Drama and went to Philosophy. We noticed immediatly that Ethan wasn't there.

"Weird, he never misses a test," he told me and I just shrugged. Neither of us were really friends with Ethan, they had just patched up their relationship and I hadn't attempted a friendship in 15 years.

As always I turned in my test first. Usually Ethan would be right behind me but instead James turned his in next.

After class Patrick wanted to go straight to the smokers pit rather than lunch. We walked out of school and we saw Ethan pull into the parking lot.

"Wait for a sec," Patrick told me. I was scared, I had no idea Ethan lets him go. I had no reason to be since I know he survived but I was still scared.

Ethan got out of the car and Patrick started heckling him about missing the test.

"Go home, I like you now ," he simply told him. Patrick gave him a weird look but came back, took my wrist, and left the school grounds.

Just like everyone else he thought the initial pops were just fireworks or something, but he flinched hearing the shotgun.

"Goodbye Patrick," I told him before running back to the school.

"Lets get to Pizzajacks, who do you want to ride with?" Ethan asks in the present and I look over at him.

"I guess I'll head with you," I shrug.

Ethan looks a little surprised, oh god did Patrick or Arron tell him I have a crush on Grayson?

"Cool, lets go," he leads me to his Honda. We get in and he heats up the car. He pulls off his top tshirt and grabs his work shirt.

"I like Eminem," I try to impress him when I see the shirt he wears underneath.

"A lady with taste, I like it," he grins and puts in a Eminem tape.

He pulls on the Pizzajacks shirt and pulls out of the parking lot. We sing a bit on the way and I giggle listening to him.

He laughs nervously but continues. It almost feels nice to be friends with him again. Though I can never excuse his actions over the passed two decades.

We pull into Pizzajacks and park close to graysons car. We look over to see Grayson change into his workshirt.

Ethan lowers his window hoping Grayson will hear.

"Woo! What a man!" He yells. Grayson's eyes widen as he looks over and he flips Ethan off. I laugh watching their exchange.

This really is back when they were still kinda innocent. The shooting wasn't planned and they hadn't even broken into the van yet.

We all get out and Ethan wraps his arm around my neck and rests on my shoulder, he points at me with his free hand,

"This girl knows her music,"

"Oh yeah? nsync?" Grayson asks. I nod.

"I meant Eminem but thats cool too, I guess," Ethan rolls his eyes.

"Too bad," I stick my tongue out and hold the door open for them.

They look at me surprised but thank me before going in.  I see Jason up front taking orders and I know at 4 Ethan will be taking over for him.

I always thought he was better up front so Grayson could have a break from talking to so many people. I used to schedule them like that more often, but Bob prefered Grayson on front.

Chris will be on his way soon too. I don't have any classes with him so I rarely ever see him.

Unlike last time Ethan doesn't complain about stress so he doesn't ask for a cigarette nor do I rub his back.

"I'll go get a pizza, what do you like?" Grayson asks.

"Plain cheese," I let him know and grab my wallet for show knowing his responce.

"Nope," he walks away.

"Gray! See if I'm on front!" Ethan yells back. He asks for my number and again he has to grab sharpies before writing their numbers down.

At 3:30 Ethan drives me home while Grayson clocks in early. Again we blast his tape but only hear one song since I live so close.

"See you on Monday," he smiles at me happily.

"Bye Ethan."I smile waving and he pulls away. My smile immediatly droops. I can't get attached again, this will all be a failure. I look down at the two numbers across my arms and leave to buy a phone.
