We stayed in a lounger near the shore as we both stare in the sky while the sun sets down. It was blue and pink with a hue of orange.
I sipped on my mango juice before turning to Craig who's sleeping beside me. I took out my phone and took a stolen picture of him.
I can't help but wonder what might my son looks like? Is he like his father? I touch my chest near my heart and feel it. The pain of losing my child is still there but then, it wasn't painful as it is before, knowing that the pain I have been taking is now shared by Craig.
Hindi na ako nag-iisa sa ganoong lungkot. Hindi lang ako yung nakakaramdam nang sakit. I am not alone anymore.
His right leg lying straight while the other not. His left forearm is resting on his forehead.
I smiled and sat beside him. I traced the bridge of his nose slowly. I remembered staring at his nose before, imagining my son to get the exact nose he has. His lips are slightly apart. I lean in slowly and gave him feathery kisses.
Satisfied. I took another shot of him again before going back to my seat and rested.
The ceilings makes me calm knowing this is our cabin. It was dark and the only lights are the dim one.
I opened the lights and walk out of our cabin to look for Craig.
"You're awake." Aniya
Sinulyapan ko ang dala dala niya bago sya tinapunan ng tingin, "I was about to look for you..."
He nodded, "I bought our dinner at the restaurant and decided to eat this inside our room since tulog ka pa nga."
Mabilis ko siyang tinitigan. His hair is still wet and he smells very nice, "Sa restaurant na lang natin kainin yan."
I pouted before biting my lips, "Gusto ko sana maligo muna."
A smile rose on his lips, "Fine, then. Maligo ka na. I'll wait for you there." Aniya
Tumango ako sa kanya. He kissed my forehead before walking back to the restaurant.
I took a quick bath and sprayed a very nice perfume. I'm wearing a maong white shorts and a blue shirt fitted shirt. I wanted to look nice since maayos at mabango si Craig.
I stared at the mirror. Ayos lang ba itong shorts? Of course! Dinner lang yan. Hindi date. I inwardly roll my eyes at my own thoughts. I wore a short coral swiss dot chiffon summer sundress with buttons up at the center front and strapped slippers. Hindi masyadong OA for a dinner and not super simple.
I let my hair down at lumabas na ng cabin. Dumaretso ako sa restaurant and saw Craig sitting there patiently.
He stood up and pulled a chair for me.
Kumunot ang noo nya bago ngumiti, "You smell very nice. Is that perfume?"
