Jekyll's mother had been quiet. Jekyll let her stay and feel at home but he knew she still felt awkward being away from his father.
"Mother," Jekyll said to his mother one day " is there anything I can do to make you feel more comfortable?"
She put her hand on his cheek. "My sweet, sweet Henry... No son. I'm fine." She smiled
Jekyll nodded and started to walk down the stairs quietly before kissing his husband who had just gotten home from the grocery store.
Hyde had his hands full of groceries and from what Jekyll could see there were still some in the car.
"Red!" Dr. Jekyll yelled as he took the bags from Hyde's arms.
" Yes Sir!" I shouted back
"Go get the groceries from the car!"
I walked down the stairs and went and got the rest of the groceries.
We had vegetable soup. I dumped cheese on mine because I'm not a big fan of vegetable soup
" There isn't any residue of HJ7 in this is there, Jekyll?" I teased
"Just because I cooked it doesn't mean I'll experiment on you." He replied
"At least while I don't have you permission." He then whispered under his breath.
His mother came down and We then ate quietly
