The Telling

Hyde had gotten worse, he started to lose weight rapidly. His night sweats got increasingly worse. All the while, trying to not tell Jekyll. In result, he got more and more distant with time.
"Hyde, Baby, since Dylan is over at Red's you wanna go..... hit the sheets?" Jekyll whispered to Hyde one night to him as he snuggled up closely to him
Hyde smiled but quietly remembered his sickness and it hit him that he could give it to him if he hadn't already...
"No Baby, I'm not in the mood tonight," Hyde replied, scooting away from the taller of the two.
"Hyde, what's wrong? There's something wrong isn't there?" Jekyll asked
"I'm fine, I'm just still not feeling my best."
"I'm taking you to the doctor tomorrow." Jekyll declares
"Baby wait-"
"I'm not changing my mind!"
The next day...
Jekyll and Hyde walked into the doctor's office
The doctor came in a short while later.
"Dr. Jekyll, you're aware Mr. Hyde here has HIV, right? Because the last report is when he was diagnosed."
Jekyll looked at Hyde "Edward..."
"Suprise..." Hyde whispered
Hyde's Doctor left the room
"YOU KEPT THIS A SECRET FROM ME! I THOUGHT YOU TRUSTED ME!" Jekyll screamed
" IT'S NOT LIKE THAT!" Hyde yelled
" Then why did you keep it from me? And why are we so distant now? What's happened?" Jekyll whispered
"So.... So.... You'd be distant and hate me when I died. So you wouldn't greive as hard." Hyde mumbled
"Oh, Eddie...." Jekyll whispered back, as tears fell from his eyes and his voice was cracking.
Hyde looked up at his husband, who seemed helpless and lost.
Jekyll hugged him tightly "Eddie, I promise you, you'll get through, we don't have to plan for things like that."
"I'm sorry..."
"Its alright, Baby, I understand."
Then Hyde got a text.
Red ❤️ - One Message-  Still up for our lesson tonight, Ed?
Hyde sighed and showed Jekyll the text.
Hyde had been teaching Red how to play guitar.
"I can't tell her, Henry. She'd be so heartbroken."
"You need to, She'd understand."
"Not tonight, please. Can we wait? I want one good guitar lesson with her before she knows."
Jekyll nodded "We can."
