Chapter 5

It was morning, paggising ni Chase ay wala na doon si Hermes, napagalaman niyang sinundo na nito ang kapatid ni Collin.

"What time is it?" tanong ni Chase paggising niya.

"9am," sagot ni Yam pagkatapos tignan ang wristwatch niya.

"It's Tuesday, I gotta go to work," ani Chase.

"Sige bro,"

"Get well soon Collin," ani Chase bago tuluyang lumabas sa kuwarto.

He checked his phone, wala namang messages about meetings and such, but he insisted himself that he would go to work today, maybe to forget but mostly for work.

Naghintay siya bago mabuksan ang elevator.

And sht, tadhana nga naman.

Pagbukas ng elevator, idinuwal nito si Ara, her hair tied up in a loose bun while her hands are inside the pocket of her white coat.

Both their eyes meet.

"Chase," ani Ara.

Tinanguan lamang siya ni Chase, pumasok na ito sa elevator at si Ara naman ay lumabas.

Chase immediately pressed the buttons so that the elevator's door would close.

Why was he curious? Ang unang tinignan ni Chase ay ang mga kamay ni Ara, pero nasa loob ito ng coat niya kaya di niya nakita kung may singsing na ito.

But why would he be affected if she has a husband already?

Niloko naman niya si Chase diba? She played him twice.

Akala ni Chase yun na ang second chance niya, damn he was ready to go to Vancouver for her, kaya niyang tumira doon para samahan si Ara.

That's what he was going to tell her noong magkikita dapat sila sa Pilipinas.

Dapat nung unang pagkakataon na di siya sinipot nito, dapat nagising na siya noon palang, but he held on to that what if, what if this was the second chance.

But he was wrong.

Definitely.

The ting sound of the elevator made Chase stop from going into deeper thoughts.

He stepped out of the elevator and went to his car.

Bumuga siya ng marahas na hangin pagupo niya sa driver's seat.

He didn't took a shower yet so he decided to stop by his condo first.

After that he wore his 'corporate clothes'

He wore a long sleeved polo, slacks and his matching coat.

He dislikes ties, he only wears them if it's really needed but those are very rare cases.

After doing so he headed to his office right away.

The guard greeted him and he smiled.

All his employees did the same and he just smiled at their greetings.

Pagdating niya sa kanyang floor, his secretary greeted him.

"Good morning boss," ngiti nito sakanya.

"Good morning Sunny," bati niya din dito.

Sunny was not just his Secretary, but she was also an architect.

That's why she is very useful.

Yra was married 4 years ago. But they kept it as private as possible.

They had Winona first before Yra and Zane got married.

For her daughter's sake, they decided to keep her private as possible.

Kaya marahan lang ang makikitang balita tungkol sakanya.

Yra manages their company in behalf of their dad, tumutulong naman sakanya si Ara from time to time but it's not her main priority dahil may sariling trabaho rin naman si Ara, and she knows that.

Her husband, Zane was also a well known businessman, and he needs to settle everything for his business in Guam, and since Yra was also a co-owner of the company, she was also needed there.

But, their daughter, Winona gets easily sick while they're on a plane that's why iiwan nila ito sakanyang kakambal.

But before doing so, as promised, she will call their dad's engineer and architect for the renovation of their building.

"Yes, good morning, this is Yra Saavedra-Laurent, is Engineer Bartolommeo there?" tanong nito.

"Speaking," sagot sakanya ng kabilang linya.

"Hello, Engineer, do you still remember Eduardo Saavedra? "

"Of course, he's a good friend of mine, and I assume, you're his daughter?," tanong nito.

"Yes sir, and he wants you to manage the renovation for his building," ani Yra.

"Of course, anything for my good friend Eduardo, shall we meet to set the plans?"

"Of course, but, I'll be leaving tomorrow, my twin sister will take charge, just give me the location and I will send it to her"

"Very well," anito.

Pagkatapos ng tawag, tinext agad ni Yra ang kambal tungkol dito.
