"Yeah, let's do that." I said looking over at my assistant Sweat Pea.

"So we have a set amount of volunteers, thirty right?" She asked.

"Yeah, I got confirmation this morning." I said.

"Alright, so tomorrow we should be all ready." She said sitting down across from me. "Don't worry Mugga, everything is going to go fine."

I was running around like I was crazy trynna get this shit under control. The Charity event was tomorrow and deep down inside, I felt like shit was going to go wrong. I couldn't have that.

"Man, I'm stressing." I told her truthfully.

"Don't, everything is under control." She assured me. "Just calm down, relax."

I chuckled.

Sweet pea was my best friend. We went way back, to our kindergarten days. Our mommas used to work in the school as the secretaries and we would get stuck sitting there together while we waited for them to leave late at night.

She was always there for me, held it down on the block, and anywhere else I needed her. She was my rock, always will be.

Every time we out together, people ask me if she's my girl and the answer is always no. Pea, don't roll like that. She like bitches.

She was always fly, always had new bags, new nails, new hair styles, the flyest. Period.

"What would I do without you?" I asked looking over at her.

She pursed her lips. "Be out of control."

We both laughed. "Yeah, you right."

"Well, if you don't need me anymore, my girlfriend is tripping like always, so I'll be taking my presence home."

"Man, her ass always trippin'." I waved her off.

"She give good head, only reason she still around." She grabbed her purse off the chair.
