Savanna Thomas

Pulling the door open, I scoffed seeing the inside of a classroom.

It had been so long since I even thought about going to college. But here I was and today was Valentine's Day.

Angel was at work and he would be until later on tonight so.

I was the first one to be in the classroom so I took a seat in the mid back.

"Oh, hello there."

I looked up awkwardly, seeing a man come out of the room off the side of the class.

I looked around. "Is this the math 330 class?"

He nodded. "Yes, you're a little early." He chuckled.

I looked down at my Apple Watch. Class was at 3:30 and it was 3.

"Oh, I know. I just wanted to find all my classes so I knew where I was going." I said.

He nodded.

"Professor James." He stuck his hand out to me.

I squinted my eyes.

I placed my hand in his. "Is your wife a doctor?"

He eyed me. "Who's asking?"

We both laughed. "I'm one of her patients, I think. Is your wife the a Women's Doctor?"

I face palmed myself. A women's doctor? Really Savanna?

He laughed. "Yes, Dr. Megan James is my wife."

I nodded. "She delivered my son, she's amazing."

He looked surprised.

"Well, you know She's no Addison Shepherd but," he shrugged.

We both laughed. If you know, you know.

"That's great though, how old is your son?" He asked.

My smile faded a little bit. I tucked my lips and moved one of my curls out of my face.

"He would've been 2, this year." I said.

"Oh, I'm sorry." He said.

"No," I said quickly. "It's fine, you didn't know."

He nodded. "Well Savanna, I hope you enjoy the class. I won't go to hard on you guys."

I waved him off. "Bring it on."

3 hours later, I walked out of class. My head was pounding and all I wanted to do was smoke a fat ass blunt.

I know I told the man to bring it on, but did he have to kill us? Shit, I gotta go cook dinner.
