Long Beach, California.
April 5th, 2018.

Savanna Thomas.

"Bro, no." I laughed snatching the phone from Zena.

"Let me see it," she said taking it back. "You don't look bad, see."

I looked at the picture she took of me and smiled. I looked so good, wow.

"You're right." I whined.

We were currently at the doctors office so I could check on my baby, see how it was growing and if anything was wrong. I had filled out all of the paperwork and now I was just waiting to be called to the back.

"How are you feeling?" Zena asked looking over at me.

I shrugged. "I feel fine, I'm over the situation now." I told her.

In all honesty, I really was over the situation with Malachi. Like who did I think I was, seeing a future with a person I barely met two days before I went on a date with him?

Plus, he was clearly still involved with his ex. I didn't need that type of energy around me.

"Are you sure? I know you were pretty upset." I nodded.

I grabbed her hand. "Thank you, for everything."

She smiled. "Girl, I'm your best friend. I wouldn't be here if I didn't care."

I nodded. "I love you, Zee."

"Aww, I love you too pooh." She hugged me.

"I'm starving." I mumbled.

She laughed loudly. "I got some candy in my purse, I think." She mumbled.

We quickly dug through her purse, finding the bag of sour patch kids. My favorite.

She handed them to me and I quickly grabbed them. "Thank you."

She waved me off.

"Savanna Thomas."

I didn't even get to put the candy in my mouth when my name was called. I sighed and put it in my purse and we both stood up and walked over to the nurse.

"I'm savanna." I told her.

She smiled at me. "Nice to meet you, I'm nurse Hazel."

Me and Zena smiled at her. "This is my best friend Zena, you'll be seeing her face a lot."

We all laughed.

"Well hello to you, Zena."

"Hello." Zena said.

She waved us in and we followed behind her to the room where I would be in.

"Okay, I'll just take your height, weight, and everything else when Dr. James comes in." I nodded.
