I quickly ran down the stairs when I heard the doorbell ring.
"Hey." I said seeing Lauren standing there.
"Hey, I got three for you." She held up the Walgreens bag.
I opened the door wider for her and she stepped inside. I locked the door.
"C'mon." I waved her to follow me upstairs to our bathroom.
"Where's hubby? At work?" She asked coming into the bathroom behind me.
"Yeah, he'll be home later." I told her as I sat down on the toilet lid. "I'm a little nervous."
"Why? I'm here." She pouted and rubbed my arm.
"Lo, I haven't taken a pregnancy test in almost three years." I whined.
"Okay, well we're not 100 percent sure, you know? Just take two and then if you need to, take the third one."
I nodded. She stood up and walked towards the door.
"Do you want me to stay or.. you got it?"
I laughed. "I got it."
She smirked and gave me a thumbs up before she walked out of the bathroom, closing the door.
I grabbed both of the boxes out of the bag and ripped one open and pulled my pants down. After taking the first test, I waited to take the second one.
Lauren knocked on the door. "You okay, Sav?"
"Yeah," I flushed the toilet and went to wash my hands.
I opened the door for her and she walked in and sat down on the counter.
I invited Lauren over because I needed some type of comfort. Zena was in Arizona for a few weeks but she'd be back in time for the wedding, Mila was in class, and Christina was visiting her mom in Sacramento.
This morning I woke up sick as hell, and the the day before that and the day before that. And I knew my body, I knew how I was with Levi and but I wanted to be sure.
And of course Lauren did the most with three tests but shit, oh well.
"Let's go downstairs, so we can stop looking so anxious." Lauren said grabbing my hand and pulling me out of the bathroom.
I laughed. "I'm actually a little hungry."
She smirked evilly. "Me too, I want Tacos."
I smacked her arm. "I want a quesadilla!"
We both laughed. We both plopped down on the couch.
"You look scared." Lauren touched my arm. "Don't be scared, Sav." She said.
