"Pea!" I called out to her.

She whipped her head around to me. I waved her over and she handed whatever was in her hands over to Bones and made her way to me.

"What's up?" She asked.

"I wanted to talk to you about yesterday." I threw my arm around her shoulder and pulled her away from the crowd.

It was only two thirty and niggas was lined up at the gate ready to come in. I had went all out, bouncy houses, taco trucks, games, music, the whole nine. I wanted this to be a event where kids could come and have fun, for free.

"That's your business Mugga, you know I don't get in your personal life." She said.

"I know, but you my best friend dawg, I need your help." I told her.

She ran her fingers through her high curly ponytail.

"Help with what?" She laughed.

"You remember how I told you I was feelin' that girl? Savanna?" She nodded.

"She gon be here today, and ion' want her to think I'm playing her or something, you feel me?" I looked over at her.

"Well, you are." She said bluntly.

"What? How?"

"You took her out on a date, you kissed her, you invited her and her best friend to work your event, and now you don't want her to get mixed signals because you're thinking about going back to your ex?" She asked.

I smacked my lips. "Pea, you supposed to be helping me, not making me feel worse."

She shrugged. "You wanted my help."

I sighed. "Nah Pea, I cant do that. I was really feelin' her."

"Okay look," she faced me and grabbed my hands. "You need some time to think, Giselle showing up out of the blue spooked you."

I nodded my head.

"And now you're caught between two women who you have feelings for, my best advice to you is to distance yourself from both until you actually figure out which one you want." She said.

I sighed. "Aight."

She patted my cheek. "Let's get ready for these kids."

I nodded and she wrapped her arm in mine and we walked over to the table. I grabbed the box of wrist bands and handed them to her.

"Aye, Bones!"

He came over to us. "Wassup y'all."

"Aye, I got two girls coming to help us hand out the backpacks, I need you to go get them at the gate." I told him.
