"I have nothing to say Maryse, whatever you want to say about me and Alec, its over. I ended it, you can save all your troubles of scolding me and wanting to keep us apart cause its done." Magnus started his ramble of annoyance before she could say any word. They were currently sitting on the bench at the hospital park. Magnus let Rafe enjoyed himself playing on the slide and the see saw with some other kids there while he watched from the side.

"What happened between you and Alec?" Maryse asked sincerely although it might seems not on Magnus' eyes, she does honestly from the bottom of her heart asking about their current relationship.

"Well, I guess mother knows best, its over between us, you have nothing to worry about anymore. Excuse me." Magnus stood wanting to escape this awkward encounter but Maryse quickly held his wrist to sit him back on the bench next to her. She looked at him intently not wanting to end the conversation so quick or letting him to escape without any explanation.

"Whatever happened between you too, I'm sure you can fix it. For what is worth, I'm sorry for lying to you about Alec being dead. I just-" she couldn't finished her word, she knew she was to blame for making her son miserable but she was here to mend things, she's here to fix whatever is there needed to be fix.

"Look Maryse, you don't have to pretend that you are not glad its over between us, I get it, I would want the same goes to my son if his life is pretty much ruined by some other people." Maryse stopped him before he starts to ramble more hurtful words towards her. "I don't want you to give up on Alec." Magnus looked at her confused whether the words were only in his dream or is it really coming out from Maryse mouth. "What?" He asked dumbstruck by it.

"I should be thanking you for saving my son back then when we met. I was so caught up with my emotion when I came back to get Alec, I heard you said how much you hated him, that you wish you were never met with each other so this things won't happen. I was so angry, furious, cause my son just sacrifice everything he ever had just to save your son. So I thought, its best for you to accept your own consequences. Your words not mine, but-"

Magnus stood abruptly in anger placing his hand on his waist, pacing around before he turned and faced Maryse. "You're right, my words, not yours or Alec. I accept my own fate and bear the consequences. You have nothing to worry about, he's your son, his loyalty is towards you. I should go." Magnus turned back and was about to call his son but Maryse quickly on her heels grabbing Magnus' shoulder and turned his body back to face her. "But, its all in the past, you both found each other and that is a way god telling me that you guys belong to each other. Whatever happens, I know he loves you heart and soul. Promise me you'll try, don't leave him, don't give up on him, please."

Magnus couldn't bear to look her in the face so instead he tried to shrug it off by leaving. "Rafe lets go!" He shouted and Rafe climbed the stairs for final slide down and ran towards his father. "Are we going to Alec now?" He asked as soon as they reached each other but Magnus grabbed his small hand pulled them both away from Maryse ignoring the questioned that broke his heart in pieces.

Rafe pulled his hand away from Magnus and ran back to Maryse. She wasn't expecting Rafe to run at her but she kneeled waiting for him and as soon as he's closed, he placed his arm wrapped around her neck, hugging her. "Give Alec my hugs." He whispered into her ear which amazed Maryse on how a small kid could have such a big heart. "You never changed do you." Maryse smiled as she pulled away from their hug. She cupped her hand on his cheek and stroked her thumb on his rosy smooth surface.

He smiled as she said so, he remembers well how they both were back then when they were kidnapped. She protected him greatly although not knowing who he was. Her motherly instinct what he craved after years of being motherless and Alec was following her footsteps providing him better than anyone else. "Alec need you as much as I need Alec, take care of him for me." He said disappointment clearly in his tone. He might be a kid but he know his father well, he's hurt of what Alec said to him and this time, he couldn't do anything to save their relationship. Maryse nodded letting her tear slipped from her eyes but immediately wiped it away.
