hey guys! if any of you have music suggestions, lemme know because i really need new music and lots are coming out but i'm too lazy to find any good music (oops) so recommend me some! also some fanfics maybe? i've been reading a lot more lately because of insomnia.

thanks for everything, you guys are awesome! hope you like. xx

"So what exactly do you do at this sort of thing?" I asked, leaning in close to inspect my eyeliner.

"Just hang out and talk to people, I guess. Dillon's going to be playing a lot of his music so just chill and listen. Eat some good food. Enjoy the view." Porter's voice echoed through my phone lying on my bed. "You look cute, by the way."

"You can't even see me," I said, pausing my makeup examination to laugh.

"I know, but you always look cute." Crunching noises suddenly sounded from the phone, and I furrowed my eyebrows.

"What are you eating?"

I heard him swallow. "Doritos. Sorry. We don't have the most quality food on the road."

The corners of my mouth turned up. "Doritos are a quality food."

Another crunch was heard. "Says the girl who eats Easy Mac and cheese pizza on a daily basis. You're a cheese addict."

I reached for my mascara wand and positioned myself in front of the mirror. "It could always be worse. I could be addicted to heroine."

"I thought you were?" He chuckled at my response.

I rolled my eyes, even though he didn't see me. "Ha ha ha. I've never done a drug in my life, actually." None that I can remember clearly, at least... "I'm not really a huge fan of alcohol either. I never understood why people used substances as an excuse to let loose at parties. You can be perfectly happy and free just dancing around. Don't use alcohol as an incentive."

He was quiet for a second. "At one of my shows awhile back I drank an entire flask of liquor. Everyone was even cheering me on and stuff." I heard the bag crumple, and then the chewing stopped. "The video someone posted was so embarrassing though."

"I want to see," I almost laughed just thinking about Porter drunk. Just the image of him stumbling around almost sent me in a laughing fit. "That sounds hysterical. Is it on Youtube?"

I imagined him cringing. "I think it's on Tumblr, actually."

'I'll have to go look at it." I applied the finishing touches to my makeup, and then I reached for my phone on my bed, picking it up to notice the time. 8:15. I should probably get going soon.

"I gotta go," I said, adjusting my shorts. "I love you. Have a good time tonight. Where are you heading to?"

"Houston." He yawned. "Love you too. I'll be seeing you in a couple of weeks actually. October 6th, right?"

I nodded. It was strange to think that he had already been gone for almost a month. I missed him like hell though, and couldn't wait to be able to see him again.

"Go take a nap." I said, smiling as his yawns became audible. "See ya."

After I hung up, I grabbed my phone and a jacket from my closet. Tess and Anton would be there around the same time as me if I went ahead and left. I stepped outside and immediately regretted my choice in clothing. The sun beat down on my head, and I could already feel myself sweating through my shirt. When will it get cold enough to wear a jacket without being hot as an oven? Its New York City, for God's sake. It should be at least in the sixties by now.
