Chapter 83
Jovette's POV
*****
I glanced up to meet Ethan's eyes, noticing the little smile playing around his lips. He didn't seem to be nervous anymore.
He was incredibly attractive. Especially with that little half-smile that hinted he knew something I didn't.
I swallowed. Suddenly, he seemed very, very real and very, very dangerous. Only moments ago he had been a cute, stammering boy who was too easily readable. But now...
His eyes met mine, softening suddenly. He stepped closer, making me catch my breath. "Now. Where were we?"
I blinked, forgetting how to speak for a moment. Then I opened my mouth. "Um... you were kissing me."
"Right." He smiled, a little hint of playful amusement in his eyes. "I never got to finish that, did I?"
"No, you didn't."
Ethan watched me for a long moment, still with that little smile playing about his lips.
Frustrated with the nervous butterflies he was making me feel, I glared at him. "It's rude to start things and not finish them. I would suggest that you finish it, right now."
He laughed softly. "Okay."
And so he did.
