Has Eric betrayed us? The thought struck me hard. No. It wasn't possible.
But was there any other explanation for everything just... disappearing?
I gasped suddenly, only able to think of one other explanation.
Eric was hurt.
OR WORSE
Suddenly, everything made sense. Black had somehow figured out his son was a traitor. He'd summoned Eric, and Eric had obeyed the summons, thinking his father still didn't know.
And now... Black was probably holding Eric captive - maybe about to kill him!
I have to find him.
Before it's too late.
BUT WHAT IF IT'S ALREADY TOO LATE
I felt sick.
It was time for a voluntary journey to Black's hidden mansion.
