(Scarlett's POV)

"Who are you going to the carnival with anyways?" Rebecca asked me with an attitude into the mirror, applying her makeup. "I know it's not a guy." She scoffed.

I pulled up my dark washed skinny jeans on my hips and buttoned them up, I shook my head. "No. Just a girl friend." I shrugged.

She rolled her eyes. "Of course." Becca barked an evil laugh. "You're too ugly to get guys."

I ignored her comment.

I'm too ugly to get guys but yet she's standing in front of a mirror caking make up on her face.

Dumb bitch.

Friday was finally here. The last day before the weekend.

Tomorrow, I get to spend time with Carter and Lanie, the only two people that I feel, beside my best friends, comfortable with.

They don't treat me like dirt or make me feel like I'm lower than them, they make me feel equal. And I love spending time with them, especially Carter.

I wouldn't admit it to anyone but I have a semi little tiny crush on him... Okay, maybe it's a big crush!

But he could never ever like someone like me.

Foster girl. That's me. It might as well be tattooed on my forehead for everyone to see.

Casual Mondays and Fridays were always my favorite days of the week. I felt more comfortable in jeans than the ugly plaid skirts they make us wear. And boy are those skirts short! They are suppose to be school appropiately but instead are strip club doable.

"Well, while you're at the carnival, I'll be at the movies with my beau." She smiled. "Tyler is so dreamy. I think I'm in love with him." She added seriously.

Ha! Right!

Wanting to have sex with someone doesn't make it love.

"Tyler?" I was confused, two weeks ago it was Jimmy.

She nodded. "Yeah, I dumped Jimmy. He was getting boring." Becca shrugged.

Boring. Her excuse every time for breaking up with a dude. But I have a more accurate word for it. Slut. She's dated more guys than I can remember. I should have the year book printed out of them.

"Oh." Was all I said.

After getting dressing for school, I headed downstairs in search for something to eat. Trevor was still in the kitchen when I got down.

Crap. There goes food.

Instead of even stopping I just went right past and out the front door. Well, that was until Trevor stopped me.

"Where do you think you're going?" He growled, suddenly behind me. My back now against the closed front door.

"To school." I stuttered, nearly about to pass out from his stinky breath.

He checked me out from head to toe. "It's doesn't look like it. Where is your uniform?"

"It's Casual Friday." I told him, trying to add a little more bass to my squeaky voice.

I was scared right now.

He seemed to be curious as to why I was dressed like this, but when I confirmed why his eyes still lingered on my body. And he was giving me the same look Ivan does.
