The Little Senju and the Sound Ninja

Izumi's POV

I was jumping from branch to branch with the two leaf genin whom were a year older than I was worrying over my comrades' safety. My breaths were growing ragged as I pushed on. A nervous sweat had even started to work its way down my brow. Don't you dare die on me! I begged my teammates in my head.

"Izumi! Izumi!" Tenten called to me with a troubled look, "If you use all your strength now you won't be able to do anything when we get there."

"Right..." I mumbled looking down for a moment, "I'm sorry, but I'm going to leave you... My team needs me, and I can't leave them alone any longer." with that I had vanished from their line of sight. I moved through the trees faster than I ever had before and I was lucky that I didn't slip and fall to the forest floor far below.

Sasuke's POV

Pain. Is that all I felt...? No. I heard voices. Loud voices. Sakura what's going on? The pain was too overwhelming for me to comprehend all the things that I felt. Why was there pink scattering to the ground? This smell... It's blood! Who's...? A moan escaped my lips as I heard all the noises around me. Why was this happening? More voices.... My mind turned black and then I found myself in an abstract plane of reds and oranges. I looked around panic edging its way into my brain, What's this...? Where am I? My mouth dropped open as I continued to take in my surroundings. I saw something. Who was that? Who's this? A little boy stood before me with black hair and clothes to match, It's me... a long time ago... I mumbled in my head.

"Father and Mother shouldn't have died!" tears streaked the younger me's face, "It didn't have to happen!"The images of my dead parents filled my vision. Their blood was streaked across the room like red paint that had been flung about the room at randomly, "They're all dead because I wasn't strong enough to save them!" he shook as he spoke, "My whole clan has been destroyed!"

Izumi's POV

"That's pretty tough talk..." Neji muttered with crossed arms, Geez... I barely got here before they did... "If we're second rate... doesn't that make you third rate!" he taunted, "I wonder if any of you amateurs are ready to take on the real thing!"

"What?"

"Lee!" Tenten gasped seeing her beaten up comrade lying on the ground haphazardly.

"You blew it!" the disappointment was clear in Neji's voice, "It looks like someone used our teammate as a punching bag!" he clenched his teeth activating his Byakugan, "No one does that and gets away with it!" his eyes searched the sound ninja. Not just looking at them, but looking through them, "No more fooling around. Tenten, full power!" he gasped his eyes returning to normal.

"What's the matter Neji?"

"Hmm...!" he smirked,"It looks like it's been taken out of my hands!"

This chakra! I shook in the place I was hidden in the brush just below Neji and Tenten, This can't end well...! A purple aura was oozing from Sauske's body. As he rose to his feet gravel erupted from the ground and black marks stretched across his skin, "Sakura..." his voice held a certain darkness as he clenched his fist, "Who did this to you?" his sharingan eyes were filled with both rage and hatred, I have to stop this! Or he'll...! "Who was it?!?"

"Sasuke... What's happened to you?"

Sasuke looked at his hand a moment before returning his gaze to the sound ninja, "Don't worry about it... I'm alright. It's only the power flowing through me. In fact, I've never felt better." I wanted desperately to move and stop the whole scenario from playing out, but this wasn't the same Sasuke as before. The one that would piss me off. I was truly terrified of the boy that stood before me, "He gave me this gift and he made me understand what I am..." Orochimaru... I growled in my head, He's the one that did this to my teammate! "I'm an avenger. To follow my path I must have power. At any price... Even if it means to be consumed by evil!" MOVE DANG IT! "Sakura, tell me... Which one of these people did this to you?!?"

"That'd be me!" the one with the holes in his hands spoke with a grin, "And what're you going to do about it!" the Ino-Shika-Cho trio retreated at this point with Ino returning to her body, "What's wrong Dosu?" he spoke again bringing his hands together, "You're not getting cold feet, are you?" he paid no attention to his teammate's frightened looks, "Watch me! I'll take care of them all in one fell swoop!"in a moment an enormous vortex of air and chakra exploded from his hands sending more gravel flying in every direction, "Huh, What do ya know? Blew them all away!" a long crater was left in the jutsu's wake and everyone that had been there a moment before was gone.

"Not quite!" Sasuke appeared behind him and sent a fist into him and the brown-haired boy was sent flying in the opposite direction and a moment later he was making hand signs at an impossible speed, "Fire style! Phoenix flower jutsu!" numerous ball of fire headed in Zaku and Dosu's direction and Zaku sent a channel find at the balls of heat, but to his dismay hidden in the flames had been shuriken.

Sasuke then appeared quickly taking his arms and placing a foot upon his back. Then as he continued to hold Zaku's arms his lips turned upwards into a smirk, "you seem to be very proud of these arms of yours..." I can't wait any longer! With a quick hand sign I created a replica of the same sword that Zabuza had used, "You must be very attached to them!" Just have to wait for the right time... With a quick jerking motion Sasuke dislocated both of the boy's arms and I felt that I might puke at the sickening noise it made, "It looks like you're the only one left!" Sasuke turned to face Dosu and the heavily bandaged man shook in his shoes,"I hope you make things more interesting than your friend did!"

"NO!" Sakura cried with a tear rolling down her cheek, "Stop!" she embraced the black haired boy whom gave her a fierce glare, "Stop... Please..." she begged quietly. The marks began to reseed and his eyes returned to normal and both Sakura and Sauske fell to the ground.

"I thought I was going to have to intervene..." I sighed appearing in front of them leaning on the sword I'd created, "Don't think I won't if this happens again..."

Dosu's POV

Sasuke gasped for breath while the blue-haired girl that had just appeared gave him a warning before throwing a sharp glare in my direction, "If you know what's good for you..." she started holding a large wooden sword in my direction, "You'll retreat while you still have a chance!" I could feel the boiling of her blood and for a moment I feared her nearly as much as I had Sauske.

"Your strong Sasuke..." I ignored the grey eyes that burned into me, "Too strong..." I held out our earth scroll to them, "We can't hope to defeat you the way you are now..." I placed the scroll on the ground, "Cut us a deal... We'll give you our scroll and you'll let us go!" I snatched up Kin and Zaku warning the leaf brats that if we ever were to face each other again that we wouldn't run and started to walk away into the forest before a high pitched voice stopped me.

"Who is this Orochimaru anyway and what does he want with Sasuke!" the pink-haired girl asked with a yell.

" I don't know... All I do know is that we were told to target Sasuke and we did... I don't know why he asked us to target someone in which he bestowed so much power... I don't even know why Sasuke survived the curse mark... There are many things I don't know..." With that I was finally allowed to leave those leaf brats behind.
